Amsterdam is famous for it's architecture and this apartment leads by example.
So the atmosphere and facilities are perfect, what about the location?
YOU ARE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!
The best thing about this location is the Vondelpark. Within one minute you can set foot in Amsterdam's most celebrated, romantic and lazy parc. Escape the crowds and be amazed you're still in the city. Checkout the wild and green parrots.
During this one minute walk you will encounter the supermarket, the ATM, the night shop, restaurants (for example Amsterdam's top thai take away and caterer Peperwortel) , a coffee-shop, the tram-station (going north, south, east and west), the bike rental, bars and much more.
Within five minutes walking you can find your self on the Leidse square, the canals, the museum quarter or Hollands' most popular and famous POP TEMPLE Paradiso!
Public transport is just around the corner and will take you anywhere you want. From the airport it's only 30 minutes by train and tram. See the red-light district, the Jordaan Area and everything else within 10 minutes of tramming.
The area in which you're staying is relatively quiet and most of all friendly, clean and safe. Everything you need is close by.
We could go on and on and on, but i think you get the idea. Check out the map, the photos and then the availability. Let us know what you want and we'll make sure it happens.
In all honesty this apartment has 1 major downside: you might not want to leave!
The apartment is perfect for two or three persons. A fourth person has to snuggle up next to the third on the sleeping couch.
Make yourself at home in your second home in Amsterdam!
Me and my wife and our 6 year old son had a Fantastic 4 night stay at Rene and Wendy's apartment. The description listing all of the Great things about the apartment is totally accurate. The apartment is Huge with plenty of light and it is in an Excellent location with easy access to anywhere you want to go in Amsterdam. We always felt incredibly comfortable during our stay and we made good use of the WIFI, cable TV, and the stocked kitchen. We did not have a chance to meet Wendy but Rene was a Super host and he is a very kind and considerate person. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Amsterdam and we will definitely try to stay there again during any future visits.
Rene's place was exactly how the pictures depicted in. It was clean and inviting. It had everything we needed and was in a great location in the city. Upon our arrival Rene was extremely friendly greeting us and providing us with great information about the area. If we had any questions, Rene was very easy to get a hold of and was more than willing to come downstairs and have a chat with us/help us out. I would highly recommend this apartment. If some of our friends are going to Amsterdam or if we go back to Amsterdam in the near future, I will definitely be seeing if Rene's place is available to stay again.
We had a great time in Amsterdam! The apartment was really well located, very close to Vondelpark and the museumplein. Nearby was a supermarket and a bike rental. The house was clean and had everything needed for a good stay. René was very nice and welcoming. If we ever return to Amsterdam we would stay again in René and Wendy's apartment.
We arrived at 11.30pm at night with two very tired children. Rene had kindly left milk, eggs, bread, ham and juice etc in the fridge for us, which was very much appreciated. All the previous reviewers were right in their praise of Rene and the apartment - it's position etc. We got around easily by walking or cycling with the children. On our leaving day, Rene allowed us to leave our suitcases in the apartment until 4pm. Really, the hospitality was faultless. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
We had a wonderful stay at this cosy, well equiped appartment close to the city centre. A supermarket, restaurants, the tram and the Vondelpark just around the corner. Bring your picknick blanket and enjoy your stay! Even after a long walk through the city, you can rest and watch a DVD or play a game.
We had an amazing experience and it couldn't have been better. Rene was the perfect host and really made us feel welcome, he also had lots of good advice. Location was walking distance from everything and the huge park is only 3 minutes away!
If we ever come back we will definitely stay here again!
Thanks so much Rene.
We stayed for 2 days in Renes and Wendys apartment and it was just perfect. Everything was clean and well organized.
The apartment is ideal located. Just a few minutes to the beautiful vondel park and 10 minutes to the city center. You can reach everything by foot. Around the apartemt there are lots of restaurants and bars and everything you need.
Rene was such a pleasant and helpful host it was a pleasure to stay at his location.
It was just great.
We definitely come back.
Rene and Wendy's apartment came to feel like home during my 10-day stay. While I didn't have a chance to meet Wendy, Rene was the perfect host. I especially appreciate his friendliness and being so responsive and prompt in answering my questions as I settled in. He had kindly put some food and wine in the fridge and welcomed me with roses. The big windows front and back made for a cheery setting, even with cloudy skies. The well-equipped kitchen had plenty of items to help make meals, such as spices and cooking oil. A coffee maker, with coffee provided by Rene and Wendy, made my mornings very pleasant. Wifi was strong and fast. The apartment is convenient to the tram lines and the major attractions are all fairly close for those who like to walk. The neighborhood has plenty of places to eat and a supermarket in the next block. I particularly liked Wilhelmina Cafe on the corner. This was my first Airbnb experience and future ones now have a high standard to meet, thanks to Rene and Wendy.
What a wonderful experience!
I've been with my husband and my daughter for 5 days in this very comfortable, clean and organized apartment. René has welcomed and helped us to orient ourselves in the city. The location is great, and with the tram number 1 you can arrive in a few stops in the centre (I suggest you do the download of the app's local transport company GVB, it is very useful to move), but I suggest you also take a walk in the beautiful park adjacent.
The supermarket is just around the corner, but if you don't want to cook, in the round area there are many nice restaurants.
Thank you René!
