Our first experience with Airbnb was way back in Aug of 2011 as travellers and since then both me and wife have been toiling over the idea of hosting.
I have to admit that it took us a long while, but we both are very happy and excited that we are now ready to open our door and our hearts to the Airbnb community worldwide.
About our home
Our home has 3 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, an adjoining dining area and 3 toilets. All of which are connected to the individual bedrooms. (This provides ample convenience and privacy to our guests living with us.)
Off the three bedrooms, one is used by the two of us and the other is a cosy entertainment room where we usually lounge during evenings and watch Bollywood movies. Feel free to join us if you want to get a flavour of some Indian movies :-)
The other permanent occupants of the second room are my acoustic and bass guitars. And if you fancy playing some music then pls go ahead and strike a few chords.
But pls note - my instruments are like my child and I am very touchy about anyone not giving them the due respect.
The third room is yours (the one with 2 paintings from Africa on the wall and a brass statue of Gautam Buddha). The room is quite and has it's own privacy. Your room is also connected to the bathroom which is equipped with a washer and dryer.
Delhi is a lot more polluted compared to many other cities around the world and if you spend a lot of time walking on the streets then you cannot avoid but use the washer and dryer. (We have installed a fully automatic machine but the drier only dries up to 85%)
Our home is also equipped with a fully operational kitchen and our guests are more than welcome to use anything that they feel can be of use. If you like to cook your own meals, you may do so, else we will be happy to provide you with meals (on request)
The kitchen is equipped with a double burner, microwave, conventional oven, refrigerator, utensils and all other ingredients that one may need to cook. Both me and my wife love cooking and while I love cooking my Indian curries, my wife takes care of the bakes. If you have similar interest then let us know and we will be happy to cook beside you; while sipping some wine or beer.
Interaction with Guests
We take pride in taking care and looking after our guests and would interact as frequently as our guest would want. And certainly without being intruders.
We live in a quite and hip neighbourhood of Gurgaon (20 minutes from the New Delhi Airport) called Sushant Lok 1. And the neighbourhood has great connectivity with the New Delhi metro. The nearest metro station is IFFKO chowk (pronounced as If-ko chalk) and is 300 mtrs from our home. Apart from the metro - which operates from 530am - 1140pm; radio cabs and tuk-tuk's are also available round the clock. Uber + uber like services are also available in the town.
If the need arises for you to access cash vending machines/ATM's then the nearest ATM is 100 mtrs from the house. Apart from this our neighbourhood also gives you access to some of the of the nicest shopping malls in the town. Galleria market (a land mark in Gurgaon) is 150 mtrs from our home which provides several eating options (from Italian cafes, to an American diner, to Indian eateries and very fancy bakery and grocery stores.) We are also 1.5 kms away from Kingdom of Dreams - the Broadway of India - the tickets of the show can be booked online and we can help you with that.
Other Things to Note
In an unfortunate scenario of you requiring any medical attention - we have 4 world class hospitals in the radius of 1 kms.
We will provide you with 1 set of keys so that you can come and leave at your own will. Apart from this we can also provide you with a local mobile phone with internet connectivity so that you can stay connected with you family back home and the world (on request). Getting a local phone can be very painful for foreigners in India.
Feel free to write to us and we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. We hope that you are as excited to come to our city and as we are to welcome you.

This place was a luckiest choice I made in a long time. It is situated in calm suburb of Delhi in Gurgaon - metro is very close and so is Galeria market with restaurants and shops.
Not only is this apartment very cozy and pleasurable but hosts are also amazing! The flat is very well furnished and it clearly implies that hosts have a style and sense for details. It does not matter whether you stay in your room, in dining room, idle in TV room or relax on sofa in the living room. It is definitely a calming shelter in bustling and overcrowded Delhi. Besides this pleasant atmosphere, the whole flat is extraordinarily clean - maid comes every day to clean the place. You get separate spacious room with double bed and your own bathroom. This flat is also furnished with two amazing people who are very welcoming, are eager to help and fun to talk to. Definitely a good choice!
Mohit and Keerat are a very cute couple, and I fell in love with their cozy abode the moment I stepped in! They made me feel at home and were really helpful even otherwise -like with nearby places to hang out at or directions or even how much I should be paying the autorick. The bedroom they offered was clean and comfortable with all basic needs. They have a beautiful place in a quiet neighbourhood, easily accessible, very safe, and are lovely hosts :)
Mohit and Keerat are the best hosts ever !!
I have been so lucky to have them by my side during my stay. They were both very helpful right from the start: they gave me all the information I needed to reach their house, and even if I arrived quite late, Keerat welcomed me in such a sweet way. I can say that I have definitely felt like home from the minute I stepped into their house.
Moreover, they were always available, as I knew that if I had any questions or concerns, I would always find someone to talk to and to advise me. Actually, I was given many useful tips to make sure I would get around the city of Delhi as if it was my home town !
By the way, they live in a very nice and safe area, close to the metro station. Hence, it was very easy and convenient for me. The house is very vell maintained and nicely decorated. And my room was perfect! Keerat made a point in always making sure that I was feeling comfortable enough.
Last but not least, Mohit invited me to celebrate holi with their family and friends: that was such a nice gesture as he did not know me at all at first. I will remember this experience all of my life! A colourful dream came true that day :-) and I will always be grateful to them for making me part of it. This is one of the many examples which prove how generous and kind-hearted they are.
I cant wait to see them again to share more amazing moments :-)
Just 2 words that sum it all: Thank you.
Mohit and his wife are great hosts! They have a beautiful house with some really nice decor at Sushant Lok, which is completely free from any traffic or noise. The perfect place for any late night work you might wanna do before your early morning meetings. They let you feel completely at ease and also give the space when needed :)
All in all, I had a great stay, and so did my friend last month. Definitely going to book again next time I am in Delhi..
I am based out of India and have been associated with e-commerce startups since 2000. My wife and me have been married for over 6yrs and now live in Gurgaon (suburb of New Delhi)
When I am not working; I like to spend time in remote locations either hiking, camping or rafting. Apart from adventure sports; I also play the bass and enjoy cooking.
Given the nature of my work, I usually have last minute travel plans, thus most of the times I end up sending last minute requests to hosts :-(
This is not something I like to do, but given my erratic schedule it becomes very hard to pre-plan my travel.
I have had wonderful experiences on Airbnb worldwide and I look forward to meeting you and sharing my stories of travel, entrepreneurship, music or any other topic which could be of interest.
Like I mentioned earlier, I am also a reasonable cook and will be happy to host you in your home :))
