  • Giovanna and Maurizio's place was wonderful! Close and with easy access from and to the Marco Polo airport and Venice as well. The place was impeccable, plus they provided everything you need, just like a hotel. And at hotels they don't give you helpful insights like Maurizio and Giovanna did. They both know Venice very well, my mother and I were able to make the most of our trip to Venice and the surrounding islands. Very warm, very thoughtful, we loved our hosts and our room. I'd definitely stay at Sweet Venice again and would recommend the place to anyone.

  • Such a great place to stay in Venice! Convenient bus stop access to the Airport, Train station and the heart of Venice. Only 5-10 minute bus ride to the heart of Venice. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Both Maurizio and his wife are extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome! I would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Maurizio was an awesome host! He told us how to cover Venice in the 24 hours before our cruise left, and we had the best time! If anyone asks me where to stay in Venice, I'm telling them about Maurizio!

  • Maurizio was an excellent host. From the moment we arrived he gave us all the local inside scoops of where to go and how to get there. The room itself is perfect for couples travelling. It is close to public transport which will get you to Venice proper very quickly. We would be very happy to stay here again.

  • Staying here was one of our greatest accommodation experiences whilst traveling. Firstly, the host Maurizio was amazing. He stayed in touch before we arrived and when we did arrive we weren't disappointed. Location was good, the room was great and Maurizio's assistance was greatly appreciated. We had never been to Venice and Maurizio told us the best places to go and the things to do and see in the short time we were there. We felt as though we were staying with a distant relative, it was just great and we would very highly recommend Maurizio.

  • We had friends who stayed in Venice proper for close to $300 a night, we showed them our room and they had a heart attack. It's so nice to be the smart one, hee hee. We walked out the door of Sweet Venice, got on a bus half a block away and were on the docks of Venice 10 minutes later. My wife and I are clean freaks and the room we stayed in was shockingly clean. HUGE bed, excellent A/C (Venice can be crazy hot, and we live in Florida!) The building was a bit hard to find because of construction re-routing but Maurizio zipped down on his trusty steed (Vespa) and led us safely to the room. There was even a locked gate/parking for our little Panda (Fiat). We like our privacy and Maurizio was very thorough, gave us hints and maps and left us to our adventure. There were also grocery stores, fast and sit down food services, a bank, shopping within a block of our room. We both agreed that we will stay at Sweet Venice when we return!

  • The apartment was comfortable. There wasn’t any reprimands to service. It was easy to get to Venice's islands by bus. Maurizio kept up friendly relations with every guest and tried to give his help in everything.
My wife and I had just two days and one evening for knowing Venice. Maurizio helped us to organize our trip on optimal way and gave us two tickets for a bus to get to Venice's islands at the first evening of our trip (all ticket kiosks were closed already). He copied our photographs although It took him a lot of time. We were happy to stay there. Thank you for everything, Maurizio.

About
I was born in Rome where I was up to 21 years. In the 1981,after living for three months in Greece, I went to Venice to meet the people I met there.I started working in a travel agency, and since 1981 I work on tourism. During all this time, and after having traveled for a long time, I was always in contact with travelers and when the tourism market has changed, I decided to change. Stay in tourism from a different perspective, to give my experience for our guests to enjoy Venice in another way. Welcome in Sweet Venice
