  • Lovely apartment in a great location - Karin left us with granola and fruit which went down very well after getting there from the UK! It was clean and felt very welcoming and homely. There is easy access to Manhattan but there is also plenty of bars, restaurants and things to see right on the doorstep of the apartment. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

  • We stayed in Karin´s apartment for four days and it was great. The location is perfect, easy to get to the subway and Manhattan and Prospect Park is close by if you are tired of the city life. Karin is a great host and helpful and her apartment was a very nice starting point for our explorations of NY. We can just agree with previous comments that this is good place to stay when you are in NY. The nearness to many nice places in Brooklyn is also a bonus.

  • Februari 2014 I stayed in Karin's apartment. with my 18th year old son. We really loved her place, it has all you need for a cosy, safe, quiet and comfortable stay in New York. My son specially enjoyed the tv and dvd player (lot's of movies!) The neighbourhood is full of restaurants and deli's and Prospect Park is only a few blocks away (really great for running, which I did a few times). Karin herself is very welcoming, she left breakfast in the fridge and gave us lots of tips. I highly recommend her apartment! Juul

  • My friends and I had such a wonderful experience with Karin and her gorgeous apartment. She was so easy to communicate with and was really helpful in suggesting places to go and ways to travel around the city.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was so cozy and clean. What a great place to come home to after a long day of exploring the city!

  • When I search for a place to stay there are a lot of things on my 'must have list. I look for beauty, coziness an cleanliness. I look for a convenient and safe location and I look for a host that communicates quickly and thoroughly.
Well, this place has all of that and more.
Karin is a terrific host and honestly it's all in the details. She is a great communicator, she leaves breakfast foods in the fridge for her guests (eggs, yoghurt, juice, granola) She even left homemade chocolates! It was Christmas while we were there and she put up a little tree and left a bottle of champagne for New Years Eve. Yep, seriously.
The bed is very comfy...kind of luxurious and the kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom has plenty of towels and a very conveniently placed needle and thread. Yes, I needed it and I was very grateful to find it. I told you, its all in the details. Her place is lovely and clean and cozy...like home.
Is it quiet? Well, it is New York, So sometimes it is and sometimes not as much.
Her place is a 10 minute easy walk to the subway. Its even easier (especially if its cold out) to just take the S shuttle that is a few doors down. (it comes frequently)
From the airport to the apartment on the subway, door to door, was an hour and 20 min.
Now if she would just leave George (the dog) :-)

  • It is a really Beautiful Apt! My husband and I enjoyed a lot there since the apt is very comfortable, quiet at nights and Karin was so nice leaving us food and drink as well as she was very helpful with our doubts (nothing to do with staying at hotels or other apartments we have been). Very well located to take the lines 2,3,4 and 5 that take you almost everywhere in Manhattan in a short time (around 10-15 minutes down Manhattan and around 25-30 upper Manhattan). We also enjoyed the pubs in the area and there are several supermarkets where you can buy anything. Perfect place if you prefer not to be in a noisy area and, on the other hand, you can take the opportunity to visit some areas of Brooklyn that maybe you would miss. We highly recommend!

  • Karin's apartment made our stay completely perfect. It's beautiful, spacious, and super clean with the most comfy bed I've ever slept in. Karin was so kind, leaving us breakfast and showing us a map with a few of her favorite spots. I really can't say enough good things about this place and highly highly recommend it to anyone!

  • Karin was a wonderful host. Her apartment is beautiful, clean and lovely furnished. She left some food for breakfast and had a lot of tips to dine out and order. Subway station Franklin Ave is only 10-15 min from the apartment, there are 4 express trains to Manhattan (20-25 min ride). We highly recommend staying at her home. Thank you, Karin!
