Great stay at this fabulous apartment. Excellent location and beautiful place. Karin was very accommodating and even got out some special items for our daughter, which she loved.
My daughter & I were greeted at the elevator by George, carrying his frisbee (we're dog lovers so this was a bonus). Such a happy boy! He led us towards the apartment where Karin's smile said it all. This is why we use Airbnb.
Karin gave us the run down: train station here, supermarket there, guide books over there and told us to call if we need anything.
The apartment was very clean and it reflected Karin's personality/style. There are beautiful textiles & paintings, family photos, including George and curios that make this apartment rock. The high ceilings bring in natural light. The kitchen was stocked well (Karin had even brought fresh bread & cider), bathroom had all the amenities w/more than enough towels and there was plenty of closet space. I love linens & Karin does too! It's real treat to slip into a comfy bed w/nice linens. My daughter has back issues but she slept comfortably on the airbed.
The building, a former hospital, is well-kept and one needs to be buzzed into the building. The diverse neighborhood is bustling with energy. Public transit is close. I would definitely stay at Karin’s home again.
We had a fantastic trip to New York, staying in Karins apartment. It was clean and had ample space! She was kind enough to wait for us on arrival even though our flight was two hours late. She kindly left us fresh bread and fruit. The subway to central Manhattan was 7 minute walk up a main street, and about a 30 minute ride to grand central station . We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to New York.
Karin was a great host who was very understanding and flexible with check in due to our flight being delayed. Once we all met she made great recommendations on nearby places to check out and things to do in the city. We ended up doing everything she recommended, including the 1/2 marathon. The place itself was beautifully decorated and served as a very comfortable place to recharge at the end of our day. It was exactly what we were looking for in a place.
Karin and the place are great. Cosy apartment! Loves the small details left such as some food and coffee! Location is also excellent, easy to subway and close to many great places.
Pictures match the place perfectly.
Karin was a gracious hostess, and was there to welcome me and review all the necessary details.
