We had a wonderful stay in Karin's cozy, pretty, well-appointed apartment. Easy access to 4,5, 2,3 and A,C lines. plus a cool aboveground shuttle that goes from the A and C stop to the park and stops across the street from the apt! So wonderful to escape to this quiet Brooklyn neighborhood after a busy day in the city. Plentiful restaurant options and easy access to Prospect Park and Botanical Gardens. We can't wait to go back!
I cannot recommend Karin and her flat highly enough. She is friendly, reliable and professional, and her apartment is beautiful - both in terms of its decor and its elegant dimensions. It is also immaculately clean with tasty breakfast eats left for us. The location is convenient for multiple subway lines and the area has lots of bars and restaurants and fun times. The brooklyn museum is really interesting & diverse with high calibre displays and Judy Chicago's 'Dinner Party' which was incredible to see in the flesh. Other highlights are the gorgeous botanical gardens (see the bonsai section) and the little zoo with its baboons, otters and red pandas. Thank you Karin (& probably the best dog in the world, George) x
My daughter & I were greeted at the elevator by George, carrying his frisbee (we're dog lovers so this was a bonus). Such a happy boy! He led us towards the apartment where Karin's smile said it all. This is why we use Airbnb.
Karin gave us the run down: train station here, supermarket there, guide books over there and told us to call if we need anything.
The apartment was very clean and it reflected Karin's personality/style. There are beautiful textiles & paintings, family photos, including George and curios that make this apartment rock. The high ceilings bring in natural light. The kitchen was stocked well (Karin had even brought fresh bread & cider), bathroom had all the amenities w/more than enough towels and there was plenty of closet space. I love linens & Karin does too! It's real treat to slip into a comfy bed w/nice linens. My daughter has back issues but she slept comfortably on the airbed.
The building, a former hospital, is well-kept and one needs to be buzzed into the building. The diverse neighborhood is bustling with energy. Public transit is close. I would definitely stay at Karin’s home again.
