Private room in clean, cozy, friendly space with self-serve breakfast located in a old, funky neighbourhood 25 minutes to downtown by public transit. Walking distance to fun restaurants , fabulous cafés and parks, farmers markets, and more.
Beautiful old but well-maintained home with lots of light, brightly coloured walls, cool antiques and lots of character. Hardwood floors throughout with high ceilings. The house is filled with lots of funky antiques, great books everywhere (odd/old books too), and yummy smells from something simmering on the stove. The house is very clean, and pet-free. A back patio and lush backyard garden are available for resting when you come home from your busy day in the city. There is also a private front porch with ferns and flowers to sit and have a cup of tea.
The room is clean and comfortable. A studio-double futon provides a comfortable sleep, and a TV with a wide selection of DVDs is also available for use, from independent movies to bad b-side comedies. There's a magazine rack that used to be my grandparent's with reading material on Toronto, magazines, and walking maps of the city.
The room is an ideal size for one person, but feasible for two.
When you're here, you have access to the kitchen (cook a meal!), the front porch (watch the rain with tea), the back patio, backyard and bbq (put your feet up!) and any communal space.
The bathroom is shared with one other person, your lovely host (me). A hair dryer is available for use, along with towels.
***A simple self-serve breakfast is offered daily, so everything is provided at no extra cost. Yogurt, granola, cereals, fresh fruit, tea, or coffee - your choice! A wide selection of teas are available any time***
wifi available along with towels; linens; iron and ironing board. Laundry available for a small fee (flexible if you are staying for an extended period).

NEW: A bike if you desire to explore the city on two wheels!
The house is shared by two young artsy, working professionals in their early 30s. I will greet you on your arrival to make sure you're set-up, comfortable, and to answer any questions you may have.
I love this city, and can recommend transit, local restaurants, things to do, great art to take in, and neat/cool/quirky places to check out. I'm up for a chat over a cup of tea or glass of wine, but also cool if we don't see each other much. There are lots of books around the house - feel free to flip through them and get inspired.
This is an LGTBQ positive space.
The house is located just north of Leslieville (a ten minute walk) - an up and coming hip neighbourhood in the east end. Walking distance to parks, seasonal farmers markets (May-Oct), bike trails, restaurants, *fantastic* coffee shops, shopping, independent cinemas, and more recently, some new bars. Also within walking distance: Greek Town, Chinatown East and Little India.
Care to check out the beach?! The Beaches (long board walk, and white sand) are a 15-20 minute bike ride away, or a leisurely walk.
Desiring a sunset or city skyline view? The sunsets over Riverdale Park are some of the best in the city, and across from a fantastic cafe. Just down the street!
The house is approximately 20-30 minutes downtown by public transit (depending on where you are going within the downtown core). Walking distance to 4 streetcar lines (college; dundas; king and queen) and the subway (pape station). On street permit parking available for an approx $24/week - please ask for daily city rates.
We had a lovely stay in Sarah's warm and wonderful home. The location is perfect, with many neighborhoods and parks to explore in easy roaming distance (whether you want to hop on one of the many nearby transit lines or simply get lost and found walking around town). Her space is beautiful and sunny, and she brings such care and attention to welcoming her guests, helping them feel well settled, and sharing recommendations about things to do and taste and see about town. We can't imagine a better way to experience AirBNB for the first time!
Our experience was amazing. Sarah is a wonderful person and a great host! Without any hesitation, we will go back to her place. The location is perfect and the house is really pretty. Also, Sarah knows a lot about Toronto, which is great for newcomers!
I was at Sarah's for one night - to do some errands in the city. I was coming from a city 5-6hours bus ride away. Sarah is very helpful and thoughtful in ensuring that my stay was comfortable and worry free. She kept in contact with me prior to the trip to make sure I would be able to get to her place safely and no delay. She is eager to share with me what is around her neighbourhood, her home and Toronto. The home was neat and well-taken care off, shows that Sarah respects her home and hope that everyone does so as well. A simple breakfast is provided - Sarah, again, was thoughtful and a great host in making sure the necessities and amenities were in place during my stay.
I would definitely return for another stay!
Sarah is an amazing host, she took care of all the details and included breakfast with the stay, which was fanstastic everyday (she even asked what I wanted and she bought it for me). Her house is really beautiful and all the pictures here are exactly showing how is her home in reality (lots of natural light, bright colors). I felt like home, had no problems at all. The neighborhood is amazing too, lots of small cafés, antiques stores and nice green areas. It´s very well connected to the TTC, like 3 or 4 minutes walk to the closest street car or 2 minutes walk to the first bus stop, which takes you to Pape subway station in less than 10 minutes. Cheers!
We spent 3 nights at Sarah' home!
A beautiful house, very clean and cozy.
The room is pretty comfortable and nice.
She has been very helpful and recommended us a lot of cool places to visit, from restaurants to cultural sites etc..

That was a perfect stay! There was zero negativ pionts!
I made a spontaneus trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto. At 4pm I still hadn't a place for the night and wrote Sarah. Some minutes later she answered.
She gave a feeling like "home" and a lot of information about Toronto. I had a great breakfast.
Sarah is a very very nice person!
I had the greatest time in Toronto! Sarah is the perfect host, very nice, helpful and she made me feel very at home at her house. She gave me recommendations for everything - where to have lunch/dinner, food markets, nightlife, bike rides etc. She has a bike which she borrowed me, so it was really easy to explore the east side of Toronto. the room is really nice decorated, I had my own TV with a wide range of DVDs and enough room for my stuff. The house itself is great located and in walking distance to the next train stop, a supermarket, east Chinatown, Little India, Greektown and Riverdale Park.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!
It was simply a pleasure staying with Sarah! We enjoyed chatting with her and she gave us lots of useful information about the city and the neighbourhood. Just try it, it's definitely the best place to stay in Toronto!
Sarah was a great host. She worked with us for checking-in and very respectful of our time and space. The room itself was lovely and with tons of guidelines for how to enjoy the city, Sarah was a joy to get to know. Look forward to staying again.
Sarah is just THE perfect host. She is lovely, welcoming and well organized with a folder with recommendations with insider tipps where to eat and where to walk. Since she was not there when we arrived, she had arranged everything with the key, linen, towels and even breakfast with fruit, juice and pumpernickel bread.
Her house is super nice, the room is great and cosy and even has a DVD collection and the kitchen and terrace were cosy, too.
Thank you so much, Sarah!!
