We had a very nice four day stay in Antigua at miwa's home. They were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The home was clean, spacious, and quiet, a lovely place to relax after touring the city.
We had a wonderful experience! The room was adorable and clean and the wifi was the best we had in all of Antigua! Also their restaurant down the street is out of this world delicious.
Lovely second stay at Miwa
and Koshe's home. Sweet dog coca recognized us after our brief departure. Casa Mental is an easy place to stay, the hosts are accommodating but not present from midday on. Other guests were fun to meet and to exchange travel stories with. The hosts have a lovely Japanese restaurant, Origami that is a "must go to"- delicious organic flavorful and elegant atmosphere with excellent service.
We enjoyed staying at Miwa's place for our first few days in Guatemala. The rooftop was wonderful, and the house was in a quiet but good location. Miwa was easy to reach or find if we needed her, but otherwise we were on our own most of the time (which was fine). Hoping to come back to Antigua one day!
Miwa Was a great host. She was very gracious and has a lovely home. Everything was extremely clean and well laid out, as if you had booked a hotel. In addition, there is the added personal touch with Miwa going out of her way to explain the sights around Antigua and provide recommendations where asked. Their dog coco is also the sweetest thing! Thank you for your help

About the Host, Miwa
I am from Tokyo, Japan and currently living in Antigua, Guatemala. I love traveling and meeting new people. I am open to any new ideas.
I was taking a year off to travel around the world starting from Canada, Mexico, Belize, and now in Guatemala. I just fell in love with Guatemalan and non-Guatemalan living in Antigua, beautiful buildings, fantastic natures, and the climate, so I stop traveling and started living here. Hope to share the wonderful experience with you!
We go there to relax by the swimming pool or for Guatemalan street food (from 4pm to 6pm) such as tostadas, tacos, chile rellenos, etc., or for a cup of coffee with wifi in less than a block away.Antigua Guatemala
