Such a great neighborhood! It is right next to the temple grounds and the newly renovated downtown. It is always very safe and very clean.
There are Bus lines and a Trax (train) station a block away.
Please respect the home and our neighbor's peace, especially while walking through hallways. If you can, please leave the condo looking as you found it (aside from linen/towels). Also, when you leave, please put the keys back in the lockbox and lock it. Absolutely no smoking (of any kind). Thank you! :)
Our stay at the Downtown SLC Condo was just as expected from reading the description and previous reviews. The location was perfect for our needs during the trip. It was easy to find, obtaining keys a simple process, and there was off street parking (though the drive way is very narrow). This is really great as it's an easy walk to downtown and we didn't have to worry about finding a parking space in a downtown location. We felt safe and comfortable. It was great to have a kitchen as well as we usually ate breakfast and dinner there. Having free wifi was also helpful. The condo was small, clean and spartan. It could be improved by having more wash cloths for the bathroom and kitchen towels. The bed and futon were not the most comfortable but for some they may be fine. The heat in the living room is on a lot and is controlled by the building, not the individual unit so it does get quite hot at times, especially when sun comes in the windows too. But the windows open and there is an air conditioning unit to use as well. For the price it's a fantastic deal and I would definitely stay there again if I were to visit SLC in the future.
The condo is very conveniently located right in the middle of downtown Salt Lake City, and I found it very helpful. While minimally decorated, it makes a really nice crash pad for the end or middle of a busy day. The view is especially beautiful.
The instructions given were very straightforward and easy to follow, so I was able to check in on my own very easily. When I did have other questions, Jaime was very quick to respond with helpful information.
The place is in a great location and within walking distance of many cool places downtown. Jaime was great at communicating all the information to us and the lock box key system allowed for a late arrival. The place could use a little touching up and a new paint job would go really far in making it a 5 out 5 star place. At the end of the day I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking to crash in Salt Lake for a day or two.
We spent 3 nights in this condo. We loved the location being right downtown. It is basically right next to Temple Square. The unit is sparsely furnished (which is what we expected) but very spacious. The dedicated parking spot was also nice. The unit wasn't as clean as I would have expected. What we didn't expect is to be running the window AC unit the whole time because we couldn't adjust the heat coming out of the register. We couldn't get the windows to open to cool the place down. We brought our own food but there really wasn't space available in cupboards to put it because they were full of food and paper bags, maybe left over from other renters? I don't think anyone lives there. The tv is not hooked up to cable and try as we might we could not get the dvd player to work although there were a selection of movies to watch.
Sorry your stay wasn't satisfactory! As stated in the manual, the heater is controlled by the building and not adjustable. We recommend you crack a window or use the AC. I am not sure why you were un able to open the windows, they are not locked and the latch is clearly visible. Also, we are available by phone, text, and email 24/7 if there are is anything wrong during your stay. All have to do is contact us and we can remedy any problems you are having.
Thanks for staying with us and if you chose to stay again, let me know and we can offer you a discount.
This place was fantastic! It was in a great location and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. I was very pleased and would recommend it to anyone going to SLC!
Everything was simple to check in and out, as described perfectly. The neighborhood is safe and a block from temple square and downtown. The building is older, but maintained enough. All the essentials are there, no fluff, just exactly enough of what you may need.
PROS: bottled water, coffee maker filters, lots of bathroom essentials, easy to find, close to everything, quiet building, free wifi, free parking spot.
CONS: heater always on (had to open window to get a good temp, uncomfortable futon to sleep on, older/minimum linens, bare essentials in kitchen, basically - minimally furnished, TV only plays DVDs.
It got the job done and the price was good. We didn't have much time there, so we didn't cook much. Reminded me of a college graduate student's apartment, has what you need certainly, just not the best quality of things, but it all worked well enough!
This place was perfect for us, and exactly what we expected. It is rather bare bones, but in a great location with a comfortable bed, clean and spacious living room, nice kitchen, free wifi, and convenient parking.
