Island living at its best! This Cottage is the perfect alternative to an expensive hotel room or condo in Poipu.
Located off Koloa Road in a quiet and private rural residential section of Lawai, this one bedroom/studio tropical island cottage offers peace and quiet, and all the comforts of home for a great price!
This enchanting Kauai cottage is completely furnished and well appointed with all the amenities you will need for your Kauai vacation:
Full size bed with high quality linens
kitchenette with full size refrigerator
private covered outdoor shower
Internet and cable included
Parking for one car
Beach gear available for use (umbrella, chairs, towels, cooler, snorkel gear, body boards)
The location of Lawai is perfect for the Kauai traveler who wants to be in a central area where the rest of the island can be easily accessed. The hwy is 2 minutes away and the nearby towns of Kalaheo to the west and Koloa and Poipu to the south have several good restaurants, a market and anything you might need to make your stay enjoyable.
Lawai is less than 10 minutes by car to both Koloa Town and Poipu. It offers everything you would expect to find in a 4 star resort area - Golf courses, shopping, restaurants, sunset sailing, surfing, snorkeling or just sunning on The Travel Channel's #1 Beach in America - Poipu!
My neighborhood is quiet with a rural feel. You will hear roosters in the morning and the very occasional bleating of the goat down the street. My street is a dead end, so there is no through traffic, which keeps car noise to a minimum. It is very centrally located on the South side, with super easy access to Koloa Road and to Hwy 50.
I would strongly recommend renting a car, but there is a bus stop right at the corner of my street for the Kauai Bus/Koloa Shuttle.

Leslie was a wonderful and very accommodating host. Her cottage had everything we needed (beach gear, coolers, chairs, snorkel gear) and is conveniently located to explore all parts of Kauai. We can't wait for our next visit to Kauai!

Leslie is a lovely host and we felt very welcome. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, decorated with so much love and we absolutely loved the outdoor bathroom with the outdoor shower. Awesome.....The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was absolutely clean and perfect. Leslie also provides beach gear like chairs, boogie boards and beach towels. We had a fantastic time there and would definitely recommend the Kauai Cottage!
My girlfriend and I had a great stay in Leslie's cottage for a few nights. Leslie was warm and welcoming and the cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is nice and central to the south shore and we were able to use the cottage as a home base for exploring Waimea and the south shore beaches. Leslie also had some great tips on restaurants and beach access, so be sure to ask her advice if you're unsure of what to do. The cottage would be a little small for more than one person for an extended stay, but overall is a great for a jumping off point for a few nights.
LOVED our stay at Leslie's little cottage! Adorable decor and very cozy. It was just right for my friend and me. Leslie met me upon check-in, and said she was available any time we needed something. She had everything we needed for fun at the beach and a goodnight's sleep. We didn't cook anything in the room, but did use the fridge. Great location in a quiet neighborhood - very close to Koloa town & beach at Poipu. I highly recommend the cottage for a single or girlfriend trip!!
Shout out & recommendation for Dark Roost Coffee - a new little trailer coffee shop near the intersection of 530 & 50 (NE side). Great coffee!
We were excitedly greeted upon arrival and given a tour of the cottage. The place was as described.
The bed was comfortable, and the outdoor shower would have been fun if it was warmer, but wasn't too bad once you got the hot water running over you.
She has added several decorative touches to give the cottage a beach theme which was cool.
Having beach chairs, coolers, towels, boogie boards, and snorkel gear available was a big bonus!
I would stay here again!
Great place. We spent very little time actually in the cottage. We were out exploring the area and used the cottage as a home base and place to prepare an occasional meal. It was perfect for our needs. Leslie is very responsive and helpful whenever I messaged her during our stay.
Leslie made us feel welcomed. If we were to need anything all we had to do was ask. Neighboured was quiet and the location was great.
I am currently teaching 6th grade Visual Arts and Language Arts at a local middle school. When I'm not working, I enjoy photography, and swimming and snorkeling in our warm ocean.
