It was a beautiful apartment in a really nice location. Also, Paul and his girlfriend were great host! And I became best friends with their cat; he was really awesome too.
We had a great time. Paul is a really nice and open host. I would definitely come back.
Paul was great, flexible and considerate. Would stay again.
Paul was a friendly host who kindly let us book his room last minute. The room was very clean and expansive. The location was in a nice neighborhood near South Street.
Awesome host. Clean house, nice and spacious bed. Nice and safe area. Though the room has no door, but you will still feel like you have privacy. Oh, cute cat as well :)
We stayed at Paul’ s place while we were doing a round-trip in the USA. Paul lives in a nice neighborhood. He is very nice and chatty and ready to help. He is also a big football fan. We stayed in the basement. The bed was comfortable. It could be a little inconvenient that there are no doors on the room. Please note, that the you are sharing room with two cats. If you have any aversion against cats, you will probably dislike your stay. It was hard for us to adjust that they were always around because the cats’ toilet is also in the basement so we would recommend staying here only for those who are not allergic to cats and are used to the smell. Otherwise it might bother you as well as the cats’ presence. Also take your towels and food with you as these are not included. We had a separate toilet, the shower was in Paul’s room.
Thanks for the review. I have made some changes and the litter is no longer in the basement now since I know some people are probably not used to the cat smell, also there is only one cat left in the house. Food is not listed as provided in my listing's description so I'm wondering why you would think food should be provided. You may ask for towel but I won't ask everyone since some people may not like used but clean towel.
We were in Philadelphia for the weekend to attend a friend's wedding. Paul was a very friendly and warm host, and he even offered us some soup he made! The two cats are very feisty and adorable (caveat: we love cats, so take our opinion with a grain of salt, haha). The basement where we stayed was large and comfortable, though there was no door. Paul was extremely flexible with our checkout time on Sunday, which we greatly appreciated. Though we didn't see his housemates much, when we did see them, they were very friendly. Really great location. Most of the wedding events were in the Rittenhouse Square area, and we walked between there and Paul's house every night (usually around 2 am) and always felt perfectly safe.
Hi I stayed two nights sat and sun, Paul was very nice the house was very clean. You have to shower outta Paul's bedroom on the third floor, there is a toilet on the main floor to use. The basement is where you stay, there is no door so it seemed quite loud at times and the cats use the litter box in the basement so it smelled like cat down there. I was asked to checkout at 9am the next morning but was informed of this at 9pm the night before...I was so tired. Had to leave early in the rain and go sit at a coffee shop for two hours till I could find other arrangements. It was fine however for the basement and third floor shower situation thought it was overpriced. Good location for walking...outskirts of the hood, Don't walk south.
Sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with being asked to check out in the morning. I was waiting for you to come back at night so we could discuss the check out time and you were barely home so I had to text you. I was asking if you were ok to check out by 9 and if there was a problem we could always work something out. I'm very flexible and easy going you could just have asked. The shower is in my suite but I wouldn't be in the bedroom while you are taking shower so you will have the entire master suite and still have all the privacy. I'm sorry for your experience with the cats.
Paul is such a nice host, always offering to help. The room is in the basement but the bed is warm and nice. The place is well-located and I enjoyed the company of his cats and some football banter with him.
I would recommend him as a host!
