The Space

It is a room with a perfect view and distance to the center and old town of Innsbruck! 2nd floor, just stairs.
It is in a very quiet spot and perfect close to walk to the center. As Insbruck is a small place you can nearly walk everywhere like the tourist spots, university or congress center.
Our livingroom will be your room during your stay, that is to share sometimes on daytime and will be your privat room at night. We usually are out for work from 7.30am to 6.30pm.
There is a soft designer couch named Box from Living Divani, good for one and possible with less comfort for two. We will put a bedsheet on it and you will get a blanket and towels.
A small balkony- like loggia is there if you want to catch some evening sun! And we dont want you to smoke, even not on the balkony.
Your breakfast is eather self service, or we can join for breakfast. mostly we have lots of organic müsli stuff, yoghurt, milk, eggs and chese, butter, honey and home made jam. sometimes bread.
for your meals feel free to use the kitchen that is fully equiped with any tool and all spices! i will also send you to the restaurants that i recommend, sometimes when i am free i can join you also as you like.

The bathroom is to share with us two, it is not really spacious but clean and you can use the laundry!

There is wifi - wlan available, but no tv.

you can reach a city bus A and H in 2 minutes and a supermarket in 5 minutes walking.
center of old town with lots of restaurants and bars and shops in less 10 minutes.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Jurgen and Gudrun were both very hospitable and were great hosts. The apartment is clean and spacious with an amazing view of the mountains. It's not far from the sights in Innsbruck. The check-in process was very smooth and easy. All in all, a great experience.

  • Lovely and clean place, not far from the centre, about 10 min but a bit uphill to get there. Has lovely views of the city only slightly hampered by the building in front. Jurgen seemed really nice, but unfortunately he had to go and I didn't gave a chance to meet him. He left me cereal and nuts for breakfast that came in handy in the morning. Sofa is comfy to sleep in.

  • Jürgen's and Gudrun's place is the perfect AirBnB experience! Everything is well planned and set up in a very convenient way (keys, bed, Innsbruck map etc....) We only had one night to hang out this time, unfortunately... I'd be happy to come back one day. Thanks for a very nice stay!

  • Gudrun und Jürgen haben mich sehr herzlich empfangen und aufgenommen. Die Couch ist super bequem und die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Ich wäre gerne noch länger geblieben!!!

  • Jürgen and his girl friend are exceptionally nice hosts! I felt welcome from the minute I arrived. So if you plan to stay in Innsbruck, take a chance and ask Jürgen.

  • Jurgen was quick to reply to my last minute request and was actually out of town when I came. I stayed with his girlfriend who was just amazing! She was the sweetest thing and so welcoming. Their apartment is an easy walk to the town and has fabulous views!

  • Jürgen was a great host. He met me at the airport and was very helpful in helping me plan a few day trips in and around Innsbruck. The apartment is lovely, so clean and neat! An absolute gem! The apartment is also so quite and has stunning views of the city, especially the view from the kitchen window! The couch is very comfortable!
I had the whole apartment to myself for my 3-day stay, and really loved every minute of it! Thank you Jürgen for sharing your apartment! Hope to host you in South Africa someday...

  • What a great great guy he is. He's very helpful, accommodating, friendly and relaxed and is very good to converse with. His apartment is clean, superbly located with stunning views and is very clean. I would definately stay here again as he is so helpful and kind. He even took me and my friend to a special restaurant in the hills on the last day.

This is a great place to stay, I highly recommend it!

  • I'll just start off with, if you're by yourself, this is the place to be! Easy to find, although at first glance on the map it may appear you would have difficulty finding it but with Jurgen's simply and succinct directions, I walked straight to it without a problem. He has a huge couch (I'm 6 feet 2 inches and there was still room). The room you sleep in is about 5x10 meters with an excellent view of the city and mountains. Three big windows and another door to the balcony wide open make it quite cool, breezy, and comfortable at night and in August with 80+ degree weather I was happy for this. It is not by the street so you hear NOTHING -- there are two other apartment buildings in front that drown out any sound that would otherwise keep you up at night. You can get to downtown (Altstadt) in ten minutes, and I somehow managed to make it to the train station in 20 minutes by foot! He also has a laptop for you to use, and for me, that was a blessing because I was using my little iPhone for the last two weeks! O_o

I was in a tight situation, trying to find a place and Jurgen was very quick to respond. I contacted him the day before and he got right back to me within the hour (some of the other Airbnb hosts I contacted still haven't replied a week later!)

Thanks for everything Jurgen, it was fun chatting with you and your girlfriend while having a beer. Cheers!

I am living in Innsbruck since more than 20 years. I am an architect and good in cooking and photography, there is my cooking service named cookin with (website hidden) website. Definitely i am a traveller from passion, longest trip was about one year in china and se-asia, i spent half a year in central america, and 3 month in india. and i am still looking for vacation like this. I never ever go with an organised trip or all inclusive stuff. I like it basic and prever going by my own on public service and prefer to stay private with people sharing ther homes, or easy going guesthoueses Even if i often travel busy and noisy places i like it silent, i don't like loud parties. i don't use tv, there is no screen in my rooms! there is wifi available, if you don't have a smartphone or laptop you are welcome to use my laptop.
