Margaret was an extraordinary host. She checked my profile and imagined that I might enjoy hearing a concert by PitchBlak that happened to be taking place the night of my stay at the local high school. Then she invited me to join her and her friends to go attend the concert. It turned out to be a delightful evening.
Her house was as advertised, and I got a good night's sleep there. I did not have time to take advantage of the kitchen. The Wifi was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend her listing to anyone.
Margaret is a great host. Her place is beautiful with a lot of art work, you feel like you are in an art gallery, she is a very good artist. The house is facing a beautiful lake. I wish the weather was warmer that we could enjoy the patio. Margaret was communicating with us every day making us feel very welcome. The place was exactly as in listing description. Margaret, thank you very much for the nice stay.
We had a good night in Margaret's house. Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to meet her, as we arrived late and left early, but we were touched by her housewarming gifts. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Thanks so much for the stay!
Margaret is a wonderful, host. She was flexible about timing, made a tasty breakfast and was very companionable throughout the time I was there.
The guest room is lovely and artistically quirky, the bed comfortable. The neighborhood is modest and feels safe. You see the gorgeous Allegheny River from several angles.
The town itself is interesting as an aspect of American history and change. If you are counting on (website hidden) Maps, get some extra directions for the destination!
I enjoyed my brief stay there and hope to visit again some day.
Host was super warm, and her artwork is something else. The house is basically an art gallery. Rooms were tidy and comfortable. Everything was clean, though cob-webby in the corners. Getting to know Margaret was a great experience!
Margaret's home on the banks of the Allegheny river was a lovely place to spend a couple days. Margaret was a great host and I enjoyed meeting a couple of her friends as well. The house is beautifully decorated with her art, and having coffee in the morning on the porch overlooking the river was a great start to the day!
Margaret's fun and funky home is a refreshing departure from the usual. In addition to her fascinating insider's perspective of the artistic & cultural revival of Oil City, her personal touch and warmth make her the consummate hostess. We were visiting the area for a funeral and somehow Margaret achieved the perfect balance of connection and privacy for us. We were especially grateful for Margaret's flexibility, allowing us to use the living and dining areas to entertain our family on several occasions. We even met a few of Margaret's friends, and are pleased to be connected! Thank you Margaret, we will be back!
