TO MAKE THINGS EASIER FOR BOTH OF US PLEASE:
Please understand that I do not know what your total cost will be. Once you enter in the dates etc., airbnb will calculate your total cost for you, I don't ever see what your total cost is, rates for certain days are different than others, so the airbnb fees that are charged as a percentage will be different as well.
If you are bringing any pets (2 maximum), and we're happy to have you bring them :-D , please enter them as 1 more person in your party, even if there are 2 of them.
Notes: As you can see from the map and pictures, we're located by the LIRR (like a large part of Southampton Village), which has only 8 trains a day; The main sleeping area is a King Size loft located upstairs above the living room. You can lie in bed and look at the stars through one of the south facing skylights. My summer tenant was 6'-3" and LOVED it up there.
Thanks, and have a GREAT DAY!
Have Fun! The only real rule is the Golden Rule, if you wouldn't do it in your, or your parents house, and wouldn't want it done to you, don't do it here. Leave the place in the same condition as when you arrived. Smoke is fine, but outside (please clean up your buts); No loud parties; And please take off your shoes.
The accommodations were really nice, clean, and what we had hoped for. Pleasant weekend.
This is a great little house! very cozy and private, tucked away in the heart of the Hamptons. Craig is very hospitable and accommodating. Thank you so much!
We had a wonderful stay at Craig's cottage this weekend. The cottage is very tastefully designed. The shower and kitchen supplies are great. My parents were very comfortable sleeping in the large bed upstairs and I slept on the couch downstairs. Craig introduced us to some great literature and was very flexible around checking in and checking out times. Oh, the beautiful cat Marvin came to visit us too. We love cats. Thanks for a great stay Craig!
Simply put; a lovely, lovely place and time. The cottage is snug but still manages to feel spacious, given the high ceilings and loft area and private yard which my two (city) dogs loved. It's also within walking/biking distance of the town center, beaches. etc., so also convenient!
Plus Craig is the host with the most!
Craig was a wonderful host with lots of local knowledge of where to go and what to do. This was my first time in Southampton and Craig went out of his way to make me feel welcome. The cottage he has is lovely and quiet, tucked away with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he has a place I can only highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all. I will certainly be going back.
This is such an adorable cottage. Me and my gf's had a lovely time staying here. It was our first visit to Southampton. Craig was an excellent host. He was very helpful wiht suggestions for dining and playing.
I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Craig :-)
About the Host, Craig
Well, I'm camera shy, even though I'm quite a shutterbug myself, so my profile picture will have to do for now.
I've been designing, building, and restoring houses for more than 25 years, finally setting in Southampton some 15 years ago, where I now live in my most recent personal restoration of a 1890's Four Square with two detached cottages. Renting rooms in my house, and the cottages over the years has been a wonderful experience filled with many new friends and adventures. I'm looking forward to continuing to do so through this new venue.
See you soon,
