Update to feedback: Pool heat costs are now much cheaper as I have a new pool heater - the old one died but was very expensive to run. Smoke alarm batteries are all new and so should be no problems with alarm beeping during stay.
Thank you for looking at my villa.
SPECIAL REDUCED NIGHTLY RATE THROUGHOUT SEP/OCT/NOV 2013
Beautiful villa: 4 beds, 3 baths (2 en-suite master beds) and own pool in a quiet, secure, gated reserve in Davenport, Florida. Rental rate includes taxes, utilities (inc. wifi) and exit clean. Just 10/15 minutes drive to Disney on the I-4 freeway and also easy access to all other attractions. Refurbished just last year and is a lovely relaxing home with open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area - spacious and comfortable.
Everything you need with washer and dryer and a large supermarket just around the corner.
Perfect for a family (easy-fit pool screen for safety) or group of friends.
Why stay in a hotel when you can have your own private space for your whole stay? Daily rate is lower when booking for whole weeks. My management company (English Rose Prop Man) are extremely helpful and David will assist you with any questions you might have.
Please note that pool heat is a separate charge, as is always the case with villas in Florida. It's really only from late October to mid March when you need pool heat as the nights can get chilly. The charges normally work out at around $3.00 per day. You can book the pool heat as part of the initial booking or you can arrange on arrival, if pool heat is needed.
It was a pleasure to stay at Marks villa. The villa is in a gated area, so that you have to type a code to get entrance into the area. The villa was clean and very nice furnished. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The washing machine and dryer can easily be used. The pool heating was turned on for the additional charge of 5$/day, so it was really nice to swim, even at the cold evenings in Orlando. The next super market (publix) is just 1 mile off. Disney world can easily be reached, with a drive of about 15 miles. Overall we can recommend Mark´s villa.
Beautiful home, is loaded with things, beautiful area. I highly recommend this home.
I enjoyed a week with my family at Mark's place. It's located very near to Disney World in a gated community. There's a grocery store a short drive away that had everything we needed to feel right at home.
Overall, the apartment is nice, clean, and well worth the price. If you have a large group (up to 8) this place is a perfect, no-frills getaway. Four big bedrooms, two with bathrooms ensuite and a third bathroom that is shared for the other rooms.
I was surprised to find that the house was maintained by a property management company. I think that should be disclosed on the listing. I choose Airbnb so that I don't have to deal with hotels or corporations.
The few, minor issues that arose during the trip were handled in a reasonable (albeit not short) time. One example: The smoke alarm battery died and it beeped all day (it's hard wired). We couldn't reach it to replace/disable without a very tall ladder. The maintenance person arrived in the evening and took care of it.
Another surprise was that there is an additional fee for pool heating. The fee is $25/day, plus a $25 fee to have a maintenance person turn on the heat (it's locked) and a $25 fee to have them turn it off. Maintenance wasn't available on Sunday so we ended up having a chilly pool for the first half of our trip which cost an additional $100. If I had known that this fee existed at the time of booking I would have paid in advance and requested to have the heat turned on before we arrived so that the pool was warm all week long.
As I said, most of the issues were relatively small. If you're fine with what I mentioned this should be a pretty good place for you to stay.
