The vast plateau of Durmitor, that rises up at 1 500 meters above sea level, is intersected by deep canyons, impressive mountain peaks (48 of them with more than 2000 meters above sea level), and breathtaking 18 glacial lakes called mountain eyes. The largest and most attractive is the Black Lake.

Jelena and her husband Bosco offered us, hands down, the best experience we ever had on Airbnb. They were incredibly welcoming and warm people, treating us as a family the three days we spent with them.
Before the arrival they provided me with very precise guidance on how to get to the area and then came to pick us up in a village close by.
Jelena cooked amazing food with local products and took care that always we had what we need. They gave us tips and advice on what to do in the area and thanks to them we had the chance to meet local people, which was an unique experience.
The house is located in the middle of the woods, walking distance to a very beautiful lake and a short drive to Durmitor's National Park. It is an incredible peaceful space, very cozy and homely.
I can't recommend this place more if you are looking for an unique experience to discover Durmitor, its history and this wonderful people.
Une expérience unique dans un cadre exceptionnel. Jelena et son mari Bosko sont des gens passionnants. La nourriture proposée est délicieuse et locale. Nous reviendrons !
We had a great time in Zabljak in Jelena's quiet, beautiful house. Unfortunatly the weather wasn't so nice when we were there but we could still enjoy the fresh air of the mountains, go to the lake, and spend long evenings by the fireplace. Such a relaxing place. Jelena was on holiday when we came, but we staid in touch and she did everything she could to make our stay perfect. Thank you!
We had the most wonderful stay with Jelena in Durmitor. The house is in a beautiful, rural wooded area with fascinating history that traces back to the Greeks and Romans. Jelena and her husband were perfect hosts! We ate and drank very well and had such a great time together. It felt like family. During the day, they offered many ideas for local attractions to see, such as the Tara Canyon, Black Lake and others. We also visited some local farmers for fresh cheese and local produce. It was absolutely unbelievable and we'd recommend to anyone.
Hotel options in Zabljak are generally not very good. Jelena offers something very different, rustic and charming. She is good to note that there is no wifi, but you can easily get it in town. Highly recommend this place for an excellent stay!
