ABOUT THE DA VINCI PRIVATE ROOM
Leonardo da Vinci was perhaps one of the most curious people who ever lived. Wanting to know how everything worked, he ceaselessly observed, noted, experimented, dreamed, sketched and modeled. An engineer, inventor, musician, juggler, fencer, cook, painter and sculptor, he worked and played at the intersection of many domains, a skill we would all benefit from today.
Our Da Vinci room includes framed prints of Leonardo Da Vinci’s folio sketches of his flying machine Ornitottero Prono, and bicycle, as well as scale models of his creations to inspire you (though note most scholars now attribute the bicycle drawing to Gian Giacomo Caprotti, a pupil of da Vinci). A contemporary medieval wine harvest tapestry, which also hangs in the Cluny Museum in Paris, is a reminder of La Dolce Vita, the sweet life, and of Leonardo’s beliefs that the sensazione, man’s senses, were the gateway to the soul, and that it was important to balance mind with body, as well as art with science.
The perfect spot for visiting professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, scholars, students, conference attendees and Stanford parents- anyone who enjoys a private room with plenty of space to stretch out and work, beautiful neighborhood walks, easy car-free access to Stanford Campus, convenient travel to surrounding areas in Mountain View, Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, Redwood City and Santa Clara, as well as San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz and Oakland/Berkeley.

Great home with all the comforts and amenities. Leigh made sure I had everything I needed and was very accommodating. The room I stayed in was impeccable, clean, and noise free. The house is in a great neighborhood and a perfect location for anything in the Silicon Valley area. I would fully recommend staying here over any hotel in Palo Alto and I will be coming back soon myself.
It was my first time in the Bay Area and I can tell that does first two weeks wouldn’t have been as great without the incredible hospitality of Leigh and her Husband. They offered so much more than a Room! Leigh and her Husband always had good tips for me; there is so much to do in the area! Talks, concerts, restaurants, sport activities etc. They have also helped find a place as I was staying in Palo Alto for the next 6 months. Also their location is just perfect! Everything is close to their place; California Avenue, University Avenue, Stanford Campus… I was very lucky to find such a great place! And to be with such great and warm people!
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was GREAT! I was unfamiliar with the area, but Leigh and EJ were extremely helpful. They gave me directions to the Stanford campus and to all the good places to eat. They also sent me lists of events going on in the Bay Area so there was never a dull moment. The room was exactly as it looked like in the pictures, clean and comfy. Breakfast is always ready in the fridge, very suitable for people like me who has a very early schedule every day. I would love to stay here with Leigh and EJ again!
Leigh & EJ were very helpful and I enjoyed staying at their place. I had all what I need and the room was nice and spacious and it's very close to Stanford.
Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Helpful hosts.
I would definitely stay here again.
I LOVED my stay in the DaVinci room! Highly recommended. Wonderful hosts, quiet and clean room.
I wished I stayed longer. I was so busy, rushing in and out that I hardly had time to experience of being in their home in its entirety. First, they are super hosts: helpful, kind and welcoming. Then the place is clean and very homely: lots of places to relax or do serious work. Furthermore, it is a great neighborhood. In fact this place has all the right ingredients to be in the super league of AirBnB, if there was one such category.
Great place to stay in Palo Alto! Enjoy the beautiful view of old Palo Alto and love to play with their cats. More importantly, Leigh and EJ are such great host and I love to talk with them about start-up and finance industry. Their beautiful and clean house seems to cover my world of work and social network. Will definately come back.
Leigh was a fantastic host and the place was exactly as described. It was about 15 minutes to University Avenue and a bit less than that to the Caltrain.
Leigh was extremely helpful during my time at Palo Altoi was even on the last day, after i had checked out, allowed me to store my luggage at her place and organized my transportation the airport while i spent the day in San Francisco.
I'll be back :-)
I had the nicest stay. The room was large. The kitchen had everything I needed. Leigh is super nice and we had some great conversations. I will definitely go back there again.
