MY NEIGHBORHOOD (GOLDEN HILL):
It's a fun, safe, culturally diverse, cool neighborhood with lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, taquerias, shops and parks, situated less than a mile from downtown, built in the 50's & 60's with beautiful old craftsman style homes scattered about the neighborhoods here.
Also, if you're into craft beers, you're in luck! We've got 'em throughout the neighborhood! Or you can hang out with me on my sweet little porch & enjoy some conversation and some laughs. But of course if you just want to do your own thing while you're here, or just want some quiet time at the end of the evening, that's always up to you. :-)

The bathroom (shared but I don't use it while you're in the bedroom of course), the living room (till around 1am when I lay down & after 7 or 8am when I'm up) and the front porch. As far as the kitchen goes, I spend a great deal of my time in there, & it's really too tiny to have others cooking meals too, but you're welcome to store drinks & a snack or two and use the microwave if you'd like. Also, a coin operated washer & dryer are available right down stairs for your use.
I'm very outgoing & really enjoy socializing with my guests, and like having friendly people stay with me. I'm not very fond of people who treat my home like a hotel & just come in & close the bedroom door without so much as a 'hello' or 'how do ya do'... that's what hotels are for! lol ;-)
I have a really sweet little white rescue poodle named Angel who absolutely loves having house guests. She's very quiet, gentle, friendly and housebroken of course, and since she's a poodle she has hair instead of fur, so she doesn't shed & is considered to be a 'hypo-allergenic' breed. Everyone loves her who meets her! :-)

My friend and I checked in Wednesday night and stayed for 4 nights. Our stay was okay, I wash hoping for a better stay. There was only one bathroom for the guests and the host which was in the bedroom. The one thing that bothered me was on Friday night I came back after the conference to rest and get sleep. I was getting ready for bed and the host was blasting music. I had asked her to turn it down which she did, and when I fell asleep she had blasted music again. It was fairly late and not respect us as her guest. We were there for 4 day 12 hour training and rest was much needed. It was a tad weird too that she slept in the living room.
My profile clearly states what's being offered - you probably should've read it in full. Sharing the bathroom hasn't been an issue for anyone else, especially considering that I don't use it once you close the bedroom door & of course I put up a privacy screen in the living room for when I retire (& as you know I'm up early before my guests anyway)... I'm thinking the airbnb concept must be new to you - it's not like a hotel. Being in someone's home & paying $40 a night( for a beautiful private room & attached bathroom) it's rather unreasonable to expect the entire household to shut down at 9pm every night including weekends. I didn't mind at all on the week nights (or even that you didn't check in until 11:30pm the first night) and even watching closed caption tv at night since apparently you're a light sleeper, but to come back at 8:30 at night on a Friday night & complain that there was music on (one night out of 4) till 10:30pm (& it wasn't 'blasting') is a bit unreasonable. There are many hosts who offer separate private cottages/studios on their properties, & since you aren't interested in going with the flow of the household much less interacting with the host except as is absolutely necessary, I would encourage you to rent that type of venue next time. Or, at the very least, let the host know that you'll be going to bed before 9pm each night including on the weekend & would like a home that shuts down every night by that time. I tried my best to make you happy, cleaning the bathroom & bedroom each day after you, remaking your bed for you, offering you whatever you needed, but it's just hard to make some folks happy, no matter how hard you try or how low your prices are. :(
Kimberly was very pleasant and respectful.
My stay we excellent. Kimberly is a very gracious host. Not only did Kimberly make my stay perfect, but she provided some excellent advice for things to do while staying in San Diego. I highly recommend Kimberly for anyone who needs a place to stay while in the San Diego area.
Made my experience in san diego a great one to remember! Showed my friend and I around Pacific Beach, made me fall in love with San Diego even more.
Kimberly is such a GREAT host!! I loved staying with her...too bad it was only for one night. She has a lovely home and is very gracious, caring and respectful of her guests. I had a wonderful time chatting and spending time with her. I'm looking to move to San Diego and she was very happy to give me insight on the different areas and happenings in the city. I was so sad to leave, but I can't wait to visit her again!!
Kim has an eye for decorating, her place is totally cute. We had a blast while I was there. Kim and I hit it off so well we went out to see a local blues band and had a blast. The price was awesome, her bed was very comfortable and her place was very clean. I fell in love with her foster dog Angel. Great overall experience.
Kimberly was a great host, very kind and considerate. She was very responsive when I sent her an inquiry on the same day of checking in. The place was clean and cozy, few minutes away from downtown.
We had such a great time staying with Kimberly. Her apartment is conveniently located near good food and everything is just a bus ride away. Kim was such a great host; we loved spending time with her and watching old movies with her. She's so nice and caring and didn't hesitate to help us out! Plus she makes fantastic brownies. Also, her little dog Angel is simple ADORABLE and such a darling. We had a wonderful time, thanks Kimberly!
