Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity.
Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic.
Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior.
If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

The space
When you arrive you go through the old part of the house to get to the living area which is lit by candles.
You enter the kitchen first. Here there is a wood stove for heating and the cooking is possible on gas stove.
To get to the sleeping area you climb an old-fashioned wooden staircase.
In “Baðstofan” er two double beds (140 cm) and one single bed. We provide linen.
