Why the Owner Chose Buonconvento:
This area of Tuscany is intensely beautiful and within easy reach of many of the most significant cultural sites in Italy - Siena is 20 minutes away, Montalcino 10 minutes, Pienza, S.Quirico and Bagno Vignoni 15 minutes by car. The area offers great opportunities for walking, riding or cycling through spectacular, rolling countryside. The local town of Buonconvento, is officially one of the most beautiful small towns in Italy and has everything one can want - good restaurants, bars, good delicatessens and craft shops where, among other items, you can order custom-made handbags at very good prices. The Val d'Orcia area is perhaps most well known for its thermal water or hot springs. The most extensive of these hot springs is Bagno Vignoni, located just a few miles from our Borgo House in Buonconvento. In medieval times Bagno Vignoni enjoyed great fame and many illustrious people came to cure their ailments with its water. The water gushes up in the center pool at a temperature of 50 degrees C. or 120 degrees F. This water is used to treat rheumatism, skin conditions and to heal fractures. Other hot springs located in the area are Saturnia Terme, Bagni San Fillippo and Bagni San Casciano. Visit this “living world” where harmony, serenity and beauty express themselves for all to experience. We would like you and your family to come and relax while you discover the beauty and charm of this historic village and region. Immerse yourself in Roman Tubs and discover ancient villages.

The apartment was everything I had hoped it would be, everything it promised to be and so much more. Prisca , and her assistant Andreea, were wonderful in accommodating any needs I had. I couldn't have asked for anything more special then my stay in this quaint and beautiful medieval village. I can not recommend it highly enough. What I can do is to say, "Do yourself a favor, and book this apartment, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Prisca and Andreea, for making my stay in Italy a memory I shall cherish always.
We were 2 couples staying for a week in Buonconvento. The apartment is inside the wall of the town and is fabulous. It is large and very well equipped. It looks just like the pictures. There are many small touches that made it a very comfortable stay.
Prisca was very responsive to emails. We didn't meet her but she has another woman taking care of it.
The parking was free and very close by and the wifi was excellent.
Buonconvento is a perfect place to use as a base to explore the hill towns. It is central in the area, quite charming but not touristy at all. The local supermarket and food shops had everything we needed.
Our stay there was very successful and we would definitely recommend this place.
Thank you Prisca for offering your apartment, my family and I had a wonderful time. Prisca’s apartment was lovely and had plenty of room for our family of four. The apartment had everything you will need for your vacation and the internet speed was great. Prisca has made it easy for you to feel at home in the apartment. The village within the mid-evil wall added to the great Tuscany experience with its restaurants and ice cream shop (which seemed to be the popular spot in the village). The village also had a train that made it very easy to get around to Siena, Florence and more, if you did not want to drive. There was a good size grocery store within a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. My family all agreed that we would recommend and stay at Prisca’s apartment again.
The house is very nice and how often in a lifetime do you get to stay in the Castle's wall?! Prisca's assistant found us quickly and showed us around the house. She was very nice, full of energy and lots of good ideas.
The kitchen and dining room were great and functional. We had dinners for 6 easily! The showers were great with a lot of pressure/flow and plenty hot enough.
It is somewhat centrally located in the Tuscan region. We visited lots of smaller villages we hadn't seen previously. The local grocery store ("COOP") was within easy walking distance.
Would love to stay here again!
The apartment is super spacious and comfortable and beautifully furnished. It's right in the centre of Buonconvento, which is a lovely place to stay.
