We had a nice stay at this hostel. The hostel is located walking distance to Termini station ( which has lots of shops) so it is easy to get to places. Maria was very quick at arriving to check us in (even though we were late) but it's important to know that most of the time, there is no-one at the hostel and therefore you need to phone Maria to check-in. Our room was really lovely and clean and Maria allowed us to leave our luggage in the room earlier than check-in time. The breakfast is a voucher for a free hot drink and pastry at a nearby cafe and it was amazing. Best chocolate croissant and cappuccino I have ever had! The only downfall to this place is that there is no internet and you have to share a bathroom with other guests, but the bathroom is quite spacious and was always clean. We also had to pay a small tourist tax charge ( 1 or 2 euros , I think) upon arrival which bothered me, but we paid it anyway.
A basic solution, in a nice Rome's building very close to Termini Train station. Quiet and silent.
But the property asked me to pay again the tax of the City of Rome, although it was already included in the room rate (€ 43 + € 2), arguing that I should repay her the commission of Airbnb.
Be careful, because this amount is not due!
