My husband and I stayed at Judith and Stephen's house in Nelson for a week. The house was so amazing. It was modern, very clean, and very comfortable, with a great fireplace in the living room that we put to good use. The internet worked great (as I had to work for a few days but I had the beautiful view of the water and mountains to keep me company. Stephen was very quick to respond to any questions we had, typically within minutes of sending out an email! Nelson is a great small town and we hope to go back and visit again soon. If we did, we'd stay at Judith and Stephen's great home again!
We will definitely be back to this great Nelson get away. Truly is arguably the best views in Nelson. We were two couples travelling with three small babies/kids and we really appreciated the attention to detail that Judith and Stephen provided. They arranged for everything from playpens to age appropriate indoor/outdoor toys. The house is really clean and comfortable and it was nice to rent away and have great quality towels and kitchen items etc. to use. The deck is amazing, we spent a lot lf time out there and was helpful to have the locked storage room for mountain bikes. Tons of great trails close to the houses!
Nelson itself is a gem, beautiful scenery between the lake and the mountains and we explored everything from farmers markets, to the quaint main strip with awesome unique shopping, to hiking and mountain bike trails to salmon spawning.
I will definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
We stayed at Best Views in Nelson for five nights in July 2013 and had a wonderful time. Our daughter and her husband joined us for the stay and our son and his family who live in Nelson came often to visit so it was a real family reunion. The house is perfect for this and is also very well set up for entertaining. The large covered deck area is perfect for a group with a great BBQ and lots of seating. Judith and Stephen seemed to have thought of every detail to make our stay smooth and delightful and left clear instructions for us re taking care of things like watering, recycling, etc. They were easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely like to stay there again if it is available. Joan and Bob Frederick
We stayed at this house in February while visiting Nelson on a Cat Ski trip. Our group was 5 guys who were all happy to have their own bed (one bunk bed). The house has a great covered deck with a barbeque to enjoy the amazing views of nelson and Kootenay Lake. I would recommend this house to groups of skiers or mountain bikers as there is a gear room in the basement to store your equipment. The house would also be great for families or couples. Dealing with Judith and Stephen was easy and professional. They left us easy instructions for the house electronics, and even some local craft brewed beers. We hope to use the house next year.
