About this listing
Only 8 houses from the beach, this home is on a beautiful garden “walking street “ (the houses on the block face each other with a pedestrian walkway separating them, no cars or traffic: just lush gardens facing each other) Garage parking is conveniently located behind the house. This works out great, as parking is can be quite difficult. The garage has an electric door for convenience. The property is truly a 30 second walk to the beach and boardwalk. In my humble opinion, it is better than being directly on the boardwalk which can be a bit loud. I have a private front and back garden, so you would have your own secluded oasis to escape to. It is beautifully furnished and includes a bunch of amenities like bikes, beach chairs, surfboards. Located in the very heart of Venice, there are dozens and dozens of shops, restaurants and activities for all ages.
The pictures don't do this fairytale cottage justice. It is exactly what I was looking for in a Venice Beach cottage - vintage in the best way. Clean, colorful, and stocked to the gills with things like shampoos, sunscreens, and bikes, in addition to the more expected pots and pans. The location is ideal, in the first block of houses off the beach, and the coffee shop on the corner makes a delightful cafe latte. The front garden, with its private love seat, was the perfect place to while away a hot summer afternoon while eavesdropping on passing pedestrians. I hope to be back soon.
Great Venice Beach location and experience! Bridget though of all the details - beach gear, bikes, board games - we really didn't have to bring much with us and our kids had a great time
I am not sure what I enjoyed more, my stay at Bridget's Venice Beach house or my conversation with her the day I checked in. Both were delightful. Her place is comfortable, cozy, and convenient with all the amenities you could ask for and a few you probably wouldn't think of.
I can't recommend this place highly enough.
There are not enough words to express how wonderful our stay at Bridget's was. She truly was the hostess with the mostest! Her little paradise is just like the pics and more; colorful, cozy, and very, very special. The atmosphere and location were amazing...gardens in front and back, the inside an art lover's dream, the beach right down the path, and the canals and Abbot Kinney shopping/restaurants within walking distance. Bridget provided everything, from beach chairs and bikes to reading materials and recommendations, luxurious bath products, and even some wonderful wine which she toasted us with upon arrival. She is a delightful conversationalist, and so very accommodating. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time with her. We will be back!
We had a magical stay at Bridget's beach house. It was the perfect spot for our family. Upon arrival our kids (4 and 2) kicked off their shoes and began to explore. Bridget was a great host and we loved meeting her when we arrived in Venice. She gave us a quick tour of the house, showed us where everything was, and presented us with her amazing visitor books -- listings for everything, maps, coffee shops, restaurants, urgent care, bike rentals, etc. It was so helpful. Her home is stocked with everything you could need (and then some) -- coffee, tea, soap, shampoo, first aid, sunscreen, beach towels, beach bags, cozy linens and blankets -- all organized and tucked away in neat closets.
The fairy lights at night were really special and our biggest decision was where to have our evening wine - in the front or back garden/patio area. The house is (as stated) a half block from the beach, but tucked away from the all the action and is very safe. The garage is a major plus.
I highly recommend renting bikes and doing the path all the way to the Palisades. It's a great way to see the beach. Thanks again Bridget.
Very nice place with stylish vintage interior in Venice, very close to the beach and boardwalk. Loved it.
