My house, regarded as an oasis in the Stockholm area,
lies in a quiet, cultural-historical area close to nature and water. Lidingö is connected to Stockholm with a bridge and metro. It takes only 20 minutes to reach the centre in Stockholm ( the Stockholm Central ) by bus and metro from my home. If you come by car it takes you 10 minutes to the east part, Östermalm, of Stockholm.
Livingroom, kitchen and separate toilet are on the first floor. On the second floor I have a big sleepingroom with a double bed for two persons with a big balcony to enjoy the evening sun. Also there is a smaller room for one person. An extra bed can be placed in the room if you are four people. Bathroom, shared with me, on the same floor as the sleepingrooms. Sauna and shower in the cellar.
The kitchen is rather big and has room for many people around the round kitchen-table where breakfast will be served. In summertime your breakfast can be served in my nice garden if the weather allows it. WiFi Internet access is available.
In Lidingö you find the famous Millesgarden with beautiful statues made by Carl Milles and interesting exhibitions of art. Close to Millesgarden lies Foresta - a beautiful restaurant with sea view and excellent food. Not far from the bridge you find the big ferryboats which traffic to Finland everyday. It is possible to rent bikes in summer and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
In the centre we have a nice shoppingcenter which can easily be reached either by a walk or by bus. There you also find some good restaurants. Of course I can give you good advise for you visit in Stockholm area.
I live alone since my husband died, but I have company of my dog Sassa, an english springer spaniel, 11 years old. She is very friendly and quiet.
Welcome to visit.
What I especially love about my neighbourhood is that it is so quiet
You take bus 201 to or from Ropsten where the Metro is. The busstop is called Hersby åker. Another bus is 212 and 204, they stop at Kvarnen. It takes about 4 minutes walk to each bus stop.
No smoking. No cooking, but you can heat light meal in the micro.
It was a very nice stay I had at Ulla's place. Her house is in quiet area and the room I stayed in felt really cosy and comfortable. I loved the library. I actually enjoyed to search among titles, some of them in English; which gave me the opportunity to discover a new book I would like to read.
I enjoyed having breakfast with Ulla in the morning and the interesting conversations I had with her. She is an amazing woman with interesting life experience. Her dog, Sasha is very friendly and welcoming.
Getting from Ulla's place to center of Stockholm was easy and it took around 30 minutes or less. The island of Lidigo is a nice and quiet place offering space to walk in the nature.
For my next travel to Stockholm, maybe during summer time, I would definitely choose Ulla's place again.
Ulla was an amazing host, I wouldn't know how to put it otherwise. She made sure that I had everything I needed, was very generous of her time and offered great breakfasts. I could not have wished for a better stay. Lidingö is not too far from Stockholm center and is very calm and beautiful : so is her house. I always felt like I was at home.
I strongly recommend this lovely place to everybody, especially the ones in quest of some quiet times.
Thank you Ulla!
We had a great stay at Ulla's house! Ulla was very kind and friendly and so was her dog Sassa (even with our 20 months old son!). The house was very peaceful and clean and the bed was comfortable. We warmly recommend a stay at Ulla's house!
The house and Ms.Ulla were perfect!
It was quiet and clean, which I thought was really suitable for female's solo trip, and, easily accessible from Stockholm and Arlanda airport. Ms.Ulla's advice surely enriched my stay (Her dog Sassa was also so good girl)!
Totally, my stay was really great, thanks to the Ms.Ulla. It was correct to choose this house! Thank you so much.
Ulla is a great and helpful host! Her house is so cosy and you feel absolutly welcome. I can warmly recommend the room in Ullas townhouse for a visit to Stockholm.
Ulla was a great host. She helped us a lot with getting the right tickets and busses to the city of Stockholm. Her dog Sassa is also great. We enjoyed our time an can warmly recommend the room in Ullas townhouse for a visit to Stockholm.

Although having reached the age for retirement I am still working as a psychotherapist in my own practice in Stockholm. I studied in Switzerland at the C G Jung Institut in Zürich and opened my practice in 1995. Before that I worked as a consultant in leadership training and personal development. I led my own seminar in assertineness training for women. I love my work, it is so exciting and interesting to get to know other people in a true and sincere way and also to be able to help. I am a person easy to get to know. I love to take a walk with my dog, play golf in summertime and go skiing in wintertime. Sometime I am just lazy and rest listening to music or see a film on TV. Or go to the theater or opera in Stockholm. I am not a good cook but enjoy a nice restaurant with a good friend. To be short: I like to live and have fun. I have three grown up children and three lovely grandchildren who all live in the neighbourhood. Being a widow since 4 years I live alone in my house together with little my dog Sassa, I think it is a good idea to welcome some people who would enjoy staying on our beautiful island, and still almost be in the city of Stockholm. I love to help and can give advise about what to do in Stockholm and Stockholm-area. I can also help with transportation in my car.
