Our cozy little vintage camper, located 15 min. south of I-40, is available for Summer 2013! One day we may renovate this cute, little 1965 Arrow camper, but in the meantime, it has an all-original 'shabby chic' look, you might say!
We've had several people stay in it at our house and they really enjoyed it. It is plugged in to electricity, under cover, has private bathroom indoors, and wireless internet). Cook your own food, or eat out at restaurants 15 min. away (Gordonsville) or 20 min. away (Smithville). We have a quiet and fun home environment (including our own private cave) on 50 acres, close to Center Hill Lake (Dam), Caney Fork River and Edgar Evins State Park; one hour east of Nashville.
It comfortably sleeps 2 in the full size bed. Our two little kids slept on the dinette which converts to a smaller bed, so that is possible if you have very small children.
It has a closet, a fan for summer and space heater for winter, sink, 2-burner propane stovetop, fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker and water kettle. It also has a porta-potty for emergency use, that you empty yourself, but the back door of our house leads directly to a full, bathroom for you to use. Or, if you're at a campground, they have facilities.
It is in good condition overall, for it's age! Most of the camper is original and full of charm. That means it could use some paint and some wood paneling is flaking off, which hasn't been a problem for anyone who has stayed in it. If you happen to have your own pillows, sleeping bag/sheets, and towels with you because you're camping, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll provide them for you.
WIFI works because the camper is parked right outside our house, and if you want to explore the outdoors, we have a trail leading to the cave. Plus a fun 200 ft zip line, a rope swing and a treehouse. See my other listing of our apt. on airbnb for more info.
TOWING INFO: We have a blast camping in this! If you'd like to take it to a nearby campground, let me know and we'll try to work it out for me to deliver it for you (deposit required). There are 2 very close by and 6 more parks within an hour or so. It tows easily with a minivan or truck (i.e. 6-cylinder). You'll get fond looks of nostalgia as you pass by or park at a site. Tires, bearings, etc. are good. Takes 2" hitch for the ball. Experience with towing required, or we may deliver it for you.
This camper could also be guest quarters outside your own home for family/friends to have their own space if they come for an extended visit. Just contact me and I'll do my best to make a special time happen for you! It can also be rented as a prop for a photo shoot. Smoking only allowed outdoors, not inside.
*PLEASE follow my driving directions as GPS is wrong half the time, even though our house isn't hard to find *
Janna and Matthew were very pleasant and cordial. Janna cooked a delicious meal from great local food. Their kids were happy and enjoyed showing me their reading and legos. The camper was very cozy and well-stocked with amenities. There were a large group of deer nearby and plenty of places to hike. The atmosphere was very relaxing and nurturing. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Best Airbnb yet! Even though Janna was out of the country, she phoned in and helped me get set up in the camper. Her property was incredible. It was the perfect get away, and I hope to return soon.
This is a really nice location. I enjoyed my stay there. I got to stay in the house since there was an electric issue in the camper. People were very helpful. If you are looking for a beautiful rural getaway then this is it.
We had a wonderful time staying in Jenna's place. We were supposed to have the camper, but ended up in the house. Jenna's place is wonderful, made only better by the presence of Bear, the friendliest, sweest big sheep dog on the planet.
The area is beautiful, as is the property. With a gorgeous lake nearby, and comfy accomodations like these, who needs more? Idyllic, to say the least.
Jenna was communicative and helpful, even though she wasn't around. Great experience!
We had a wonderful time renting the camper . It was our first time in a camper and Jana and Matt were so encouraging and supportive. They even followed us to the campsite. It was wonderful having everything we could possibly need right there in the camper and what a great experience to wake up on the river and be right there with minimal effort. Everyone was mesmerized and very nostalgic about the little canned ham . A highly recommended way to go.
Everything was wonderful. Janna waited up for us to arrive even though we were very late. She greeted us with a big smile, wave, and hug. Janna is an amazing host, Mother, and wife, and her and her family made us feel extremely welcome. Plus, their property is ridiculously cool! My 2 year old felt right at home and loved loved loved the sheep, chickens, cats, dogs, and endless open space to run run run! They even made us breakfast! Oh, and of course, the vintage Arrow camper is the coolest thing in the World-and surprisingly spacious. Great experience~~! Thank you!*****

We own a local business and homeschool our boys ages 8 and 10. We love meeting new friends and sharing a bit of our lives.
My husband and I have been married since 1992, after he went on an around-the-world trip, mostly on his motorcycle, starting from his home in England. I've lived in the middle of big cities and in the middle of nowhere; I reckon I can be happy to stay just about anywhere!
