As a city girl, Skye is really a gem to us! Getting around Skye is a little bit difficult with public transport. But it's totally fine if you drive your own car. Our stay with Meg and Rob was one of the most precious moments. They were very nice and helpful and were easy to chat with. The daily breakfast was hearty and delicious. Honey of their own was lovely! We treasure this part very much! And the cats Pippin and Sabrina - they were welcoming and have given us a great sense of belonging during our brief stay. We would love to visit the sweet family again!
Meg & Rob were fantastic hosts and made us feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable right from the offset. Their home is a unique, cosy environment nested at the base of the hills, with some lovely surrounding walks and easy access to the rest of Skye. We would definitely stay again.
Meg and Rob are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and their home is just the perfect level of cozy for settling in after a long day of wandering around Skye. Torrin is a lovely little village -- completely off the radar of most tourists on the island -- with some nice beach and mountain hikes right outside the house. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely time in Torrin. Meg & Rob were so welcoming and helpful, the house is an absolute gem, and the room was cosy and just what we needed after long days of travelling or walking around on wet, foggy mountains. We'll definitely be back next time we're on Skye. Highly recommended!
PS: The honey (and breakfast in general) was delicious!
We had a very lovely stay with Meg and Rob, we only stayed one night but we have been inspired to build our own house and become bee keepers...enough said.
We had a lovely night's stay with Meg and Rob. We took advantage of Meg's massage option and each had a relaxing massage, great value too. The bedroom and bathroom were warm, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was yummy, preparing us for a big day ahead. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Lovely hosts and B&B. Room was comfortable and warm, shower was good and breakfast tasty, with eggs and honey from their own garden. If you seek a quiet B&B in southern Skye you can't go wrong.
My husband Rob and I live and work in the small, picturesque crofting village of Torrin. We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and sharing experiences. We decided a couple of years ago to establish a comfortable Bed & Breakfast and base for visitors to explore the magical Island of Skye.
