The Executive Centre Hotel is located in downtown Honolulu's vibrant business district, which is also rich in arts & entertainment venues. You can walk to historical Iolani Palace & see the statue of King Kamehameha, or stroll through the streets of Chinatown. Aloha Tower Marketplace is only 5 min walk away and you can also get to Ala Moana Beach & Shopping Center very quickly either by bus or driving. Waikiki is about 10 min by car.
My unit is on the 32nd floor, with some nice mountain & city light views. There are floor to ceiling windows & central A/C.
There is a full kitchen, with a stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hot water kettle, rice cooker, other appliances & cookware.
Bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. Bath towels & wash cloths provided.
W/D in the unit is stocked with laundry detergent. There is central A/C & free WIFI. Living room has a twin sofabed & flat screen TV.
Beach towels & beach chairs provided
It's a 1BR suite category in the hotel (650 sq ft), which normally runs around $250/nt so it's a good deal. Reserved parking can be booked in advance for only $10/day (normally $28/day)
This is not a luxury unit, it's a place where my brother & I bought to use whenever we come back to visit our parents. So, it's not fancy but it's clean, comfortable and furnished for living.
There is an outdoor pool, hot tub & sunning deck. Plus, a restaurant in the lobby & Longs Drugs store right outside. Also a 7-11, Ross, and numerous cafes, coffe shops, restaurants, bars & art galleries in the downtown area.
No smoking or footwear in the unit.
Quiet hours from 10pm - 8am.
Last washer use is 8pm & last dryer use is 9pm.
Whenever I visit Oahu again, Lisa's condo is where I would like to stay! It is located in the Financial District. Away from the touristy area of Waikiki but close enough to restaurants, the beach, sights to see, etc. The condo is spacious. There is 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and living room. Parking in a secured garage is available for an extra low cost. The price my fiancé and I payed for a week's stay at Lisa's condo was comparable to the price we payed for 1 night at the Sheraton Waikiki. This place has everything you need for a comfortable stay & is a steal :)
What you saw in the picture is not what you got. The apartment was tired looking and not clean, both lounges uncomfortable and one with a broken leg. the bathroom also needed upgrading and an uplift. I did not find it value for money, we will not be returning.
I'm very sorry that you didn't like the apartment. I did not take the photos, it was an Air BnB photographer so I did not edit them in any way but maybe the photographer did to make them look nicer. I have a housekeeper who does all my cleanings and she is very good but I can understand that it's maybe not good enough for some people. If you had let me know I could have sent her back in to re-do the unit if it wasn't to your standards so I'm sorry that we didn't have a chance to do that. But I stand behind her because we rarely get complaints and when we do it's usually someone who looks everywhere and unfortunately, with a vacation rental hotel unit where you only have a few hours between guests, they focus on the main areas and then work down to all the places like the tops of all the appliances or furniture, behind furniture, etc.
I do apologize for the couch with the broken leg, we had a family stay with some kids and I think they jumped on it, broke it but didn't tell us. Instead they propped it up with something underneath so that the housekeeper found out while cleaning. Anyways, I am hoping to be able to remove it the next time I'm on island if it is vacant.
Finally, I try to state it clearly in my description that this unit is a 2nd home for my brother & I when we come home to visit our parents. We are not rich and do our best to keep it clean & functional. But it is in no way fancy because we both have our own homes and with two mortgages it's not like we have a lot to spend on upgrades. We are happy with the way it is but understand that other people may not be. For those people, maybe a unit in the hotel program would be better because they grade them according to how nice they are and you can pay the premium price for one that is completely renovated. It will be double the price of mine, and with the parking being $28 instead of $10/day but you will definately get a nicer unit. You can look up the Executive Centre hotel and search the price for a mountain view suite category to see what the difference is.
I think for a 650 sq foot place with a full kitchen that has appliances, cookware, dishes and a W/D, plus a separate living room and free WIFI, my price is fair. But if you are looking for fancy then it's not the place for you. It's more for people who want a comfortable clean place to live while they explore the island.
Anyways, I am sorry that maybe you didn't read my description or ask for a refund because I would have gladly given you one so that you could stay in a place that made you happier.
This worked out great for us, right in town and down the road from my daughters place. We had a great time. It is right on a busy bus route as well.
The place was comfortable and in the heart of downtown Honolulu. Lisa's friend was very helpful in checking us in and overall we had a great time.
This place is in the heart of Honolulu's business district with a beautiful view of downtown. Unfortunately there is no balcony. It's about 15 min from the closest beach but there are many bus lines in front of the bldg. The place was clean & our host gave us a great intro to Hawaii & places to go.
My wife and I had a very nice time in Honolulu. Our hostess was very responsive via email and answered all questions promptly. There were no surprises upon arrival, the pictures did a good job of capturing the suite. The check-in process was straightforward and the hostess did a good job of ensuring we knew everything about the suite before she left. We rented a a car for our trip and the parking was pretty simple (a reserved spot on the 6th floor of a parking deck in the hotel).
