The Space

Spacious remodeled studio that looks out into a tranquil garden w/ Koi Pond/waterfall, Giant Bamboo wall, outdoor fireplace and couch as well as BBQ is located in the heart of an area with great restaurants just steps away and 50ft from N-Judah (main public transportation artery) to get you downtown or out to the beach without the need for a car!

With its own entrance, you walk down a hall and open the door to a large garden studio featuring granite kitchen countertops, modern appliances, dishwasher, washing machine, gas stove and is furnished with a Queen Bed, Cable TV, Wifi and plenty of closet and bathroom space. There is a large couch, a rocking chair and 2 smaller sitting chairs. The studio is furnished with all the items you need to cook (spices, pans, dishwasher) and feel at home but the main attraction is how close it is to all the great places to eat out without spending downtown prices!

Location: 2 blocks to Golden Gate Park and Museums, 2 blocks to UCSF medical center, 1 block to restaurants on Irving, 40 feet from 2 grocery stores, and 1 block from Muni train (N-Judah) stop w/ easy access to Cole Valley (3min), Duboce (7min) and Downtown (20min) via Muni.

Pet allowed on a case-by-case basis. Owners live in same building on 2nd floor apartment and as such will quickly address any issues, needs or questions that might arise. We want every guest to leave happy with their SF sejour!

Interaction with Guests

We like to meet and greet our guests and then provide them with a private experience. Unless we're needed, we may not see you your entire trip after checking in. Sometimes we bump into our guests outside and it's always great to say hello and see how things are going or answer questions about the neighborhood. We consider the studio entirely yours while you're staying with us. That said, we ask that if there is anything that you need, please let us know. A light bulb that needs replacing? Need more towels? Just ask.

Getting around

The area is best enjoyed without a car. The immediate street has a two-hour parking limit for non-residents from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Street cleaning is from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Please pay close attention to all street signs and meters when parking anywhere in San Francisco, you could get a costly ticket if you are just one minute past the legal time. There is no time-limit on street parking two blocks uphill so that is an option if you have a car, however street cleaning regulations still apply. If you need to rent a car by the day or by the hour, there is a zipcar location as well as a few citycarshare locations within three blocks of the suite. Note: If you plan to use zipcar or citycarshare you must register before your arrival so that you can get your card key by mail.

The neighborhood has streetcar and bus stops to anywhere in the city within a 1-2 minute walk. Our streetcar is the "N-Judah" metro train which will take you directly to the following areas. (Approximate times):

-Haight-Ashbury district, 8 minutes
-Union Square/Moscone Center, 16 minutes
-Financial district, 20 minutes
-AT&T Ballpark, home of the San Francisco Giants, 25 minutes
-Caltrain station, 25 minutes
-Ocean Beach, 18 minutes
-San Francisco Zoo, 20 minutes, accessible by "L" train at nearby Forest Hills station
-Castro district, 15 minutes, accessible by "K,L,M" trains at nearby Forest Hills station
-Glen Park BART station, 8-10 minutes by Muni bus 44

The following Muni bus lines serve the area: 6, 43, 44, N-Judah.

Go to 511-dot-org for trip planning information. We highly recommend downloading a San Francisco Muni app. There are several good ones available on iPhone and Android. The apps will tell you to the minute when a bus or streetcar is scheduled to arrive.

  • This was our first Airbnb experience and it was fantastic! The studio was was better than its description, beyond our expectations and perfect for our needs. J & S were very quiet and respectful of our space. After a long ride up from San Diego, Jeremy greeted us and made a few great suggestions of restaurants in the area. Parking is also pretty easy in this area and the location was great, it was a very authentic San Francisco experience. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks J & S

  • WhenI saw this listing for the Inner Sunset - only three blocks away from my son - I decided I had to stay here. I changed my vacation dates so that Jeremy and Shannon could accommodate me. The apartment is truly charming as are the gardens. I truly felt at home here and loved the well equipped kitchen, two sitting areas, washer and dryer and sun filled rooms. The location was perfect. There is a darling coffee shop around the corner and a small grocery store across the street. I spent some time at Golden Gate Park six of the eight days I was here. Jeremy and Shannon are lovely people and their apartment reflects their incredibly good taste. I have visited San Francisco several times but I have never felt as comfortable and "at home" as I did here. I felt sad leaving my lovely place in my son's neighborhood. I had become a part of the Inner Sunset!!!

  • What an awesome AirBnB experience!! J&S made everything so easy. The apartment is just as beautiful as described, clean, neat and everything you could need for a weekend or an extended stay. The apartment was perfect for me as iI spent alot time in the city exploring, biking, hiking, and exploring the new exhibits at the museums. I also spent alot of time in the park which always blows my mind and was was just a few blocks from my doorstep. Great neighborhood-couldn't have been a better experience!! Thanks J&S for making it all so easy-I'll be back soon!

  • This was our first stay in an airbnb and I think we were spoiled. The studio is absolutely lovely in every way. It is very comfortable. It has been decorated beautifully. It does not feel like a 'rental' but rather you are staying in a friend's apartment. It looks out onto a luscious garden that has been superbly landscaped. It's not a backyard but a patio with couches, chairs and grill. The studio felt bigger because of it. There is everything one needs to cook, as well. The appliances are top-of-the-line. We had a perfect week and I look forward to our next visit and staying in the studio again.

  • Jeremy was very accommodating. The unit is fully furnished and equipped (full kitchen and laundry) and is in a great location- very convenient to eateries, shopping, Golden Gate park and Muni line. The patio area is beautiful and offers a relaxing respite after busy, active days. This was a perfect choice for us!

  • We just arrived home after a 3 night stay in this wonderful and cosy home from home! The studio has absolutely everything you could need and Jeremy was always quick to respond to any questions we had. The bottle of wine and fresh flowers were a lovely touch - especially after a 9 hour drive from Vegas! We really appreciated this.
Bed was SO comfortable - could have stayed in it the entire time! It's dead easy to get into town on the N train which stops just outside (beware - have exact change!) and the local area is buzzing with a variety of cafés, restaurants and quirky shops. The beautiful Golden Gate Park, just two streets away, is also well worth a stroll around on a nice day. All in all we had a fab stay in this apartment and would highly recommend to others.

  • This was our first time staying at an Airbnb place and we weren't exactly sure what to expect except that every review was awesome for this locations. Our expectations were more then exceeded! J&S were so sweet and accommodating. It was the perfect place to stay if you want to be away form the tourist areas and want more of a neighborhood San Fran vibe. Locations was great, easy to get into downtown on a quick train ride or using lyft(we found that Lyft ended up being cheaper then cabs. . FYI). It was a perfect walk to Golden gate park and to local coffee/breakfast shops in the morning. They gave lots of great suggestions for places to eat in the neighborhood. The studio itself was the perfect size and the outdoor area was gorgeous. We ended of couple evening sitting by the fire pit, it was perfect. Pretty much all previous review have summed up the way we feel. I would highly suggest there studio apartment. We couldn't have asked for more and we will definitely stay here the next time we find ourselves in San Fran.

  • This was our first airbnb experience and a good time was had by all. The place is beautiful and classy. The location is ideal. The n - train was right out the front door which took us inbound or outbound, depending, whixh made the entire city fully accessable. :-)
The bed was very comfortable and we slept like logs on all three nights. It was a very peaceful and great place stay!
    Thank you, J &S!

  • My husband and I had the most fabulous time in the big, charming studio. It was incredibly comfortable and very luxurious for the 2 of us. We loved the gated entryway and the gorgeous garden paradise. We only wish the weather would have allowed us to use it more! The neighborhood was fabulous. We walked to several restaurants on Irving. There were so many choices! I would definitely stay there again. Thanks for a great long weekend!

We are both professionals in our mid 30's... "J", outside of his sales career loves to surf, travel, sail and pretty much do any sport that involves water and has built and designed much of the back yard features. "S" is a real-estate agent who loves to help people explore the city and each of its unique neighborhoods and find the right "fit" for people looking for a home, apartment or "pied-à-terre" In her free time she loves to go for runs with our golden retriever, to spend time tending the garden's blooms, sip coffee in the many cool cafes in SF, travel and hang out with friends and family. We both love this neighborhood for all of its diverse food options within a quick walk, having golden gate park with all of its attractions (lakes, and sunny nooks, outdoor concerts, runs, museums, tennis, lawn bowling, etc) just 200 ft away as well as being able to jump on the muni to quickly go downtown or to the the beach. We love how friendly the neighbors are and also having UCSF and the doctors who have saved so many lives, including one of our best friends who had a severe form of brain cancer.
