  • The place is perfect to discover Athens. The neighborhood is not touristic. There are several good restaurants just ‘around’ the corner. The metro is in 5 minutes walking distance to bring you everywhere you want, but is it also close to walk to the Acropolis.

As a Dutch woman I biked in Athens and it was a wonderful experience to do so.

Marilena herself is a kind person. She helped me out the first day to get a impression of what to do first.

Because it was a holy day and she was off for work, she brought me to the metro station for my trip back to Schiphol.

Thank you Marilena for the superfood you gave me for the trip back home and hope to see you again.

    Response from Marilena:

I got a reservation request by Alexandra with no message explaining that the guest would be her father. I only learnt this after she had booked and I consider it lack of respect not having been told in advance.

  • We had a great time at Marilena's place. The apartment was clean and welcoming. Marilena is a very nice person, she made sure we have everything we need.

  • Marilena's accommodations are comfortable and she herself is a pleasure to share a home with. She is inviting, kind and helpful in helping you get acclimated to Athens. The apartment is in a great neighborhood- not touristy at all, safe, quiet and just a short walk to many delicious restaurants, cafes and the metro that will take you to all the must see sights.

  • Although a little challenging to find, this apartment is in a Great location, quiet but near many of Athens attractions. Marlena is very sweet and helpful (she gave us a ride to the metro at 6 am!). The downside is that her apartment is small and the bathroom and kitchen (both small anyway) are shared with her and her visitors. Definitely adequate for a short stay.

  • A truly excellent place to stay in Athens and a fantastic host.
As a stranger to Athens she made my arrival so much easier by picking me up, even though she had to leave work early. She offered me dinner when I said I was hungry and was always concerned with my needs.
The room was very nice and the bed was one of the best I have had through AirBnB. It even fitted my 191cm frame.
The room is located very close to all the tourist spots but far enough away to give you peace and quiet.
    Highly recommended

Elle se rend disponible et est naturellement charmante!

  • Marilena is a great host- friendly, warm and flexible. She was able to meet me to give me the keys despite my moving schedule. It was really interesting talking to her and was a great way to find out about Greek living for my first time there.

  • Me & My friend enjoyed totally our stay in greece & all thanks goes to the great and helpful Marliena.
The house is a bit far on foot from syntagama,it takes 5mins Max by taxi, but the house is well equipped and cozy.
Marliena was a very good hostess (cooperative, helpful & smily), she picked us from syntagama in her own car, she briefed us about the nice places we can go to.
if we ever went again to greece , we are definately satying at marliena's.

  • Marilena was a very welcoming and accommodating host. Her apartment she shared with us was clean, tidy and well equipped. The close proximity to the train station and Acropolis made it ideal for a short stay in Athens. Several cheap cafés and restaurants are nearby, some of which she kindly pointed out on a map for us. We would happily stay with her again.

I 'm a person that enjoys peace and quiet. I am taking a course to become a Pilates trainer. I like reading, my preferable subjects being psychology, sociology. I like photography, and I enjoy a game of chess and a nice meal.
