This is a charming house in convenient location with easy access to parking and restaurants. I would stay here again and recommend this house to friends.
For the past year, I have been travelling to Sacramento on business -- most times staying at a different airbnb property (because of last minute travel and availability). Patrick's home is another gem which I will add to my list of "would very much like to return." Patrick's communication was speedy and attentive. His home is amazingly convenient in an adorable part of Midtown. The house was immaculate with comfy beds, luxurious towels, spotlessly clean and a real home -- eclectic art, attractive furniture, smartly decorated, and beautiful updates in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen and bathroom accouterments were generously apportioned, the wifi worked at lightening speed, and the coffee pot (the only appliance we used) had us humming along like a well-trained barista. My colleagues and I would quickly return to Chez-Patrick if our plans align with his availability.
Patrick was easy to communicate and accommodating to what I needed. The house was spacious and very comfortable. The neighborhood is adorable, very close to great restaurants and shops. It was a very easy walk to the convention center. I enjoyed having coffee on the little patio on the front which also gets good sunlight in the afternoon. The house was a little disorganized, it literally felt like I was staying at a friends house. I had a little trouble finding things in the kitchen, and had to clean everything before I used it. I still recommend staying here if you visit Sacramento.
Great host in a great neighborhood. Definitely recommend if you want to be near downtown Sacramento (walking distance from tons of restaurants.
I was in Sacramento for a test at the convention center, the house is very quite and Patrick was a great host who made sure my stay was comfortable including providing a parking pass.
The kitchen has been significantly improved since the pictures posted as of the date of this review.
My stay at Patrick's home was a wonderful experience. It is just as advertised. Very spacious with lots of charm. I had everything I needed including cooking supplies. The house is located in Midtown with restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores all in walking distance. Patrick was kind enough to provide a parking pass. I very much enjoyed my stay.
What an amazing experience! Patrick has a beautiful, comfortable house in the best area of midtown Sacramento. He was incredibly easy to communicate with, even though he was on the East Coast for work. The house was spotless and well-furnished. I had a perfect sleep and cannot wait to come back to this house when work sends me to Sacramento again.
Fantastic stay! Patrick did a great job of orienting us to his place, the neighborhood and restaurants near by. He was very responsive by phone and by email.
Our family had a very comfortable stay over the holidays. We enjoyed making dinner and eating around his beautiful dining room table. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean.
We especially enjoyed all the artwork around the house, which was much discussed during our happy hours indoors.
The neighborhood was great and we walked all around to bars, cafe's, restaurants, Safeway the capital and the Stanford mansion. A great option for all!
About the Host, Patrick
I run two companies in Sacramento and travel a lot so why not allow my beautiful Victorian to be used by other's. to enjoy. I listen to jazz and collect modern art so the house inside while old has an eclectic feel. Old rugs, African masks but with modern art. I have two children, was married for 25 years, love the outdoors, jazz, live performances and travel. My house is centered to restaurants, entertainment and to my downtown office. My work deals with colleges and Universities and much of my art was done by University art professors.
