Our recent stay at Susan's lovely South Central Treehouse was perfect in many ways.
The location is ideal with wonderful restaurants, coffeehouses, etc very nearby. I was also very pleased to find that it is within short walking distance to the Austin Shambala Center. Susan has obviously given careful consideration to guest comfort as there we numerous amenities available. A wonderful selection of toiletries, luxurious towels , complimentary ground gourmet coffee, orange juice and yogurts are a sample of her generous offerings. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that both the upstairs master bedroom and downstairs bedroom had their own kitchenettes with mini fridge, coffee maker , glassware , bowls and utensils. We are most appreciative that Susan spent time looking for and locating items we had left. Conclusion: a beautiful and comfortable arrangement owned and managed by a most gracious host. We would most definitely consider Treetop for future trips.!
Fantastic place! Susan has set up her guest home in a way that makes for a relaxing stay. Would happily stay here again.
Susan provided the best overall Airbnb experience for me and my wife. The guesthouse is as pictured, and conveniently situated between South 1st and Congress. Overall, I would strongly recommend.
I didn't want to leave! Such wonderful hosts! The treehouse patio was so relaxing!
We had a great experience. Susan was an awesome host. The unit was perfectly clean and exactly as advertised. I would highly recommend Susan and the Treetop Guesthouse!
Excellent house and an INCREDIBLE host. So easy to get in-touch with and went above & beyond in being helpful. Wonderful in every way.
Susan was an excellent host throughout the duration of the trip and even before we got there. She is super accessible - I never waited more than a couple hours for a response to an email or text! She is friendly, considerate, and very welcoming!
Now let's talk about the Treetop Guesthouse itself. It was AMAZING. We were more than thrilled when we got there and found that the pictures were accurate and even better than we had expected for an airbnb! It was clean, comfortable, and a great place for 2 twenty-something couples (there was a king bed upstairs, and a queen downstairs). I felt like I was in a lavish hotel. Susan goes above and beyond in this place - she left chocolates on the nightstands, had plenty of clean hand towels and body towels, had complimentary snacks (yogurt, water, beer, tea, granola bars) in the cabinet, had all bathroom toiletries ready for your use, and even had a basket of things you may have forgotten (deodorant, eye makeup remover, toothpaste) for free! The beds were also super comfy and there is lots of little details that make the place a wonderful vacationing spot. Big windows let the light in when the sun rises, plenty of mirrors to help you get ready, separate fridges and sinks for upstairs and downstairs, a fun spiral staircase, cool artwork, plenty of books, a cute balcony with chairs and a table outside. Austin can be cold in the wintertime but not to worry because the heating in the Treetop Guesthouse was excellent!
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to visit Austin! It's a bit removed from the downtown of Austin, but you'll quickly realize that everything in Austin is only a 10-15 minute drive. Get a rental car and go exploring! Susan's is very close to the shops and restaurants on South Congress, and going out on 6th Street or Rainey Street for nightlife is about a 10 minute drive or cab ride away. A Lyft or Uber to those locations will be about $13-16 dollars.
About the Host, Susan
I grew up in Amarillo and moved to Austin in 1990 to begin practicing law. I enjoy time at Lady Bird Lake and experiencing Austin's wonderful, local restaurants/cuisine.
