The second bedroom is called Magnolia on the main level off the landing mudroom. Inspired by a trip to Waco TX this room is sweet, welcoming and comfortable.

Each bedroom has a super comfy eco friendly new foam mattresses on platform beds. The Nordic is under a skylight with a shade. Each bedroom door has a key lock.

Your suites includes a fridge, microwave, coffee & a tea station in the upstairs living room. TV in the Nordic suite.

Your living room is great for working, reading or chilling.

Sauna & yoga & laundry room is closed during covid19.

Of note, there are stairs with railings to the upper suite & to the lower level.

Lost/missing bedroom door key fee $10.

Enjoy staying up all night? We don't & live in a separate unit on the main floor so please book elsewhere if you like to stay up all night. No longer accepting pets or smokers (includes vaping) as the smell from clothes & belongings affects the space.

Guest access
Guests enter through the side entrance & mudroom. No contact due to covid 19 & there are no other guest rooms.

Free parking is on the street - usually no hassle. Use the front walk and follow the sidewalk to the side door. We leave the lights on at night for you along with nightlights & motion lighting in the mudroom.

The yard by the side door is private property so don't cut through it, drag luggage on my neighbors lawn.

Smoke/vape/candle/incense party free home.

Quiet hours start at 10 pm please be mindful when coming or going.

Lost bedroom door key fee $10.

Other things to note
We are 3 blocks from East lake street where the protests started for George Floyd. Our community was deeply affected by the actions of mpd and the resulting anger & damage to the Lake street neighborhood business corridor. Many great restaurants were lost but many remain. We encourage you to explore our community, support our local businesses, come to learn & see the tributes to George.

Sue has lived for 22 years in this community & hopes this sparks change. If this makes you uncomfortable we hope you get out of your comfort zone & stay with us. We snoozed the listing during the stay at home orders & the protests to ensure guests safety.

This is a shared home not an entire house rental with the owner in a completely separate unit. Smoke/smoker free rental. We have a basket of cleaning supplies available.

Large fridge & microwave provided but no kitchen.

Here's what our cleaning fee pays for - laundering towels & bedding, cost for cleaning supplies, thoroughly cleaning the suite bedroom, kitchenette & bathrooms, entryway, mudroom, shower room. In winter shoveling. Due to covid19 we have added costs for guest gloves, masks, cleaning supplies & our additional cleaning protocols.

Guests must be comfortable using stairs as the Nordic suite is on the second floor, the shower room & second bathroom are in the newly finished basement level.

Just contact us if something is needed or missing. Parking is free on the street.

Please remove your shoes upon entering.

Loud partying, arguments, smoking in any form in the house or on the property may result in immediate cancellation. If you smoke we prefer you book elsewhere as owners have asthma. Our neighbors also do not want smoking around their property.

Quiet hours when coming or going start at 10 pm. If you're an up all night noisy person that isn't a fit for us as hosts.

One small dog Honeybear lives on the main floor in the owners space. He enjoys meeting guests from inside the front door!

We no longer host pets due to prior issues with guests leaving dogs alone for hours. Guests who show up with a pet will be charged $75.

Service pets cannot be left alone in our home, plan to bring them with you or make daycare arrangements, Rover offers local people that pet sit.

Ours is a shared home that's yours to stay at for peace & quiet. The diversity of the neighborhood is truly a community where everyone is welcome. Check out our guide for the great local restaurants as you can literally spend a week eating your way through south Mpls. Favorites are Standish Cafe, Northbound Brew pub, Ghandi Mahal, Tiny Diner, Longfellow grill. Sue has traveled throughout Europe, to Costa Rica, Peru & within the US, recently driving to Texas from Minnesota, staying in Airbnbs along the way. Our hosting style in our shared home is chill, casual & flexible; we request quiet time from 10 pm to 6 am with 24 hour check in & guests come & go anytime using a keypad through the guest side door. Our guest spaces includes the second floor Nordic suite with 1/2 bath & living room, the main level magnolia bedroom, newly remodeled sauna & yoga room, private shower room & separate bathroom in the basement. We enjoy meeting guests in person at check-in but it's not required, if we miss you when you arrive we will keep out eye out to say hello. We hope we've thought of (seriously) everything but if you need something, don't hesitate to ask.
