I had a lovely time with my family. It was close to the grocery store and the Gatlinburg strip.

John was easy to get a hold of when needed. Just very disappointed we did not get the house we had reserved. Part was due because of weather but they actually forgot we were coming. When we arrive they put us in another house that was not what we wanted. He did offer to move us but we had unpacked our stuff and it was pour down rain. The turned off the power at some point so it took all night for the hot water heat up and not have hot showers. We did the next day. The pond was not is what it is like in the pictures. We walked on the dock and it moved and was unsteady. We were there to celebrate our engagement and tried not to let the things that came up affect us. Again, John did offer for us to move to another cabin somewhere else.

This cabin is great if you want peace, quiet, and privacy. It is easy to find and easy to go to the main strip of Gatlinburg or to the National Park. I highly recommend this place.

This place was just OK in my opinion. I've stayed at several cabins around the Gatlinburg area and I would describe this as a three star. The Internet is very slow. The main living area is much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. Don't plan to do a lot of cooking here unless you intend to bring the majority of your own dishes and utensils. There is no gas grill so bring charcoal as well as additional chairs for outdoor seating. Additional towels will also be needed if you plan to stay more than one night. The mattresses were very uncomfortable for two adults. (I'm 5'7" and 150#, husband is 6'1" and 220#). The furniture is quite outdated and not very comfortable either. There's no trash receptacle outside so we had to store our trash in the laundry room or inconvenience ourselves by calling for someone to come pick it up. As mentioned on the website you will need to bring your own coffee filters, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, and hand soap. The place was clean and plenty roomy enough for 4 adults as there are two separate bedrooms and bathrooms as well as a nice sized common is pretty small. If you turn on the ceiling fans the upstairs cools off beautifully. It's quite easy to find and is only a 10-15 minute drive to Gatlinburg. There are also some very cute shops and dining places within a few miles. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the area but will probably not stay here again.

This is the perfect cabin in the woods; secluded yet spacious. With that being said it is in the woods so be prepared to see giant spiders and bugs. Unfortunately my fiancé and I found some on the bed but we understand that this was bound to happen. It was also a little unsettling at night when it was quieter and all you heard were animals running around on the roof. There's a grocery store called Food City about 5 minutes from the cabin which was perfect for us. You will need to purchase paper towels, toilet paper, salt and pepper, anything you might want to cook with or season your food with as these are not provided for you. You also will have to purchase your own coal if you want to use the grill outside. It honestly was a good place to get away and recharge.

I'm a family guy, I have lived in or around Gatlinburg all my life. We do like meeting folks from all over the country and world. We have hosted several different couples from places far away and some from just around the corner (Nashville). I am a football fanatic, so don't let me get on that subject or I'll waste your time. Our family does strive to make your getaway a pleasant one.
