Explore miles of trails on your bike, ATV, or snowmobile. Walk 5 minutes to the slow and shallow Buffalo river for a lazy float or safe wading. Visit Yellowstone National Park about 30 minutes away. Come back to relax in the hot tub, enjoy s'mores around the fire pit, or snuggle by the fireplace and stream your favorite movie.

The space
Welcome to the Bennion Den! The main floor includes two bedrooms with queen beds, each featuring a smart TV; fully equipped kitchen featuring larger amenities like a full-size fridge, coffee maker, toaster, griddle, microwave, dishwasher, Crockpot, waffle maker, rice cooker, and smaller nice-to-haves like apple slicer, onion cutter, can opener, pitcher, spices, dishes for all occasions, etc. We really tried to think of it all for you to have a relaxing stay. The main dining and living room area features a fireplace, a large smart TV, and an oversized window into the pines. The main floor bathroom is fully equipped with basic amenities like washer and dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc, and a lot of the nice-to-haves like iron and ironing board, blow dryer, small sewing kit, detergent, slippers, etc. The upstairs loft bedroom features 4 twin beds, smart TV, a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows into the pines, and a private bathroom. The blackout curtains are there for your convenience for lazy mornings. Enjoy your breakfast on the spacious deck, read a book on a hammock, explore trails in the pines, make s'mores around the fire pit! Definitely make time to relax in the hot tub!

The cabin features a huge parking area. Can fit toy trailers and multiple vehicles, any season, summer or winter.

The last half a mile of the road to the cabin is unpaved and is privately maintained. The association is doing its best to make sure access is always well maintained, plowed and graded; however, please be patient after heavy snowfalls, rainfalls, or in the spring as the snow melts; it can be bumpy. Most vehicles do just fine; however, 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicles are recommended outside of summer months. We do provide traction boards should you need them.

Other things to note
The Buffalo River is accessible on foot/atv/snowmobile only via the old railroad trail.

Lakes and rivers around the Island Park area offer world class fishing. Look into fishing licensing as needed as you are planning your trip.

Yellowstone National Park west entrance is about 30 minutes away. Please note any park closures, especially seasonal closures for the winter on the Park website as you are planning your trip.

Jackson Hole and the gorgeous Grand Tetons are about 2 hours away via an amazing scenic drive.

Grocery shopping is available at the gas station at the top of the street. There is also a larger store - Sam Patch Co. - about 10 minutes away. West Yellowstone has groceries, souvenirs, and amazing restaurants. The Buffalo Bar (children friendly) is open late and is definitely our family and guest favorite after a long day at the Park. If you need mainstream stores or restaurants, you can visit Rexburg, a college town about 45 minutes away.

The best airport to fly into is Bozeman, MT. It is about a 2-hour drive from the property via a gorgeous scenic drive. The Twin Falls airport is an option as well. It is a little closer, but flights are generally more expensive to Twin Falls than to Bozeman.

A couple of things to think about as you are preparing for your trip in WINTER. It is awesome for winter activities, but could be hard for driving.
An all wheel or a 4x4 vehicle is a must. Even though we get plowing, the standard for plowing in the area is 8 inches of snow accumulation to make sure all the local roads are conducive to snowmobiles.
We have traction boards at the cabin for you should you need them. However, to keep things smooth with your travel, I have been advising people to carry chains or cables even with your 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle. We have had someone actually use their chains and be happy they had them.
