The room is not the Ritz (no re-model or staging here!) but it's comfortable and makes a good base for exploring NYC. But Brooklyn especially.

You're expected to have a great time. But smoke your cigarettes outside, it's nice outside. You can cook in the kitchen, just let us know when. .
I had a great time in Sean's Private Studio. I didn't get to meet him personally this time around, but his wife Katy showed me around and helped me with everything I needed.
Park Slope is a very nice Brooklyn neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants, stores and a 24/7 deli right next door. Subway is about two blocks away, and takes you directly to Manhattan.
The place is perfect for someone who prefers a bit more privacy than Airbnb typically has to offer. I may well visit Sean again when my next trip to New York takes place. 5/5 stars!
We arrived a little later than expected due to some delays, luckily Katy greeted us at the door. She was very welcoming, ensured that we knew how to get in and out. Also made sure we had fresh towels after a long journey. Joseph and I had a very packed schedule so we often left quite early in the morning and later at night, which meant that we didn't get a proper chance to meet Sean until the morning of our last day. Halfway through our stay, they provided bottles of water, fresh sheets and towels which was very considerate. Sean and Katy are great hosts, we'd definitely stay with them again as the location was pretty good too. Thank you very much.
Sean was a great host! He made my first Airbnb experience a great pleasure. The room was very cozy and private, with the private basement entrance. The neighborhood had lots to offer, little shops, bagels, coffee, and a close proximity to the F and N/R trains.
This was my 2nd time staying so obviously I love the place. Especially for its privacy (private entrance) and location. However, I did unexpectedly pay more than I did my first visit because an implemented cleaning fee which was disappointing because I told many friends it was a great deal prior. Nonetheless, the place is awesome and I may visit again.
What a great place to stay! Everything one would need or look for in a private-entranced, basement apartment. Sean was VERY flexible and prompt with his replies. I hope to stay here again on my next trip to Park Slope!
I'm really enjoying my stay. Sean kept the communication open and Katy was super nice. I will definitely be recommending friends and family in need of a nice place for a short stay

I live in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a scientist and music lover. I take a photo a day and post it to my blog. Been doing that since 2009. My wife is a musician and artist and teacher. We love to travel but just had a baby, so we are letting travelers come to us.
