The room is not the Ritz (no re-model or staging here!) but it's comfortable and makes a good base for exploring NYC. But Brooklyn especially.

You're expected to have a great time. But smoke your cigarettes outside, it's nice outside. You can cook in the kitchen, just let us know when. .
Sean is an incredibly gracious host. He made me a cup of coffee when I arrived, told me about the neighborhood and recommended restaurants. The room is exactly as described, and the bed is very comfortable. The location is a quiet residential street, but close to many shops, and the R train. If you're planning a trip to Brooklyn, Sean's is a great place to stay!
Sean's apartment was great. Excellent location, near several subway lines, with great food, bars, and coffee shops in walking distance. Sean and Katie were great hosts, providing clean sheets, towels, etc regularly. The basement apartment provided a lot of privacy, with its own entrance and bathroom, but they made sure we knew we were welcome to use the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed with Sean for several weeks, and made two bookings. We had a great time on our extended stay!
I had a lovely stay in Brooklyn. The room was spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. What a treat to soak in the tub, read my book after my travels and Brooklyn walks. It is convenient for the subway, shopping and Prospect Park. It is set back from the street and a quiet spot.
We had a wonderful stay at Sean's place in Brooklyn. The room was cozy and toasty warm, as it was a very cold weekend, we were always happy to walk into the apartment. The bed is very comfy and the bathroom well stocked and clean. Sean and his family are lovely people and set us up well and let us know they were available for any questions or attention.
THe neighborhood is great, too. Easy access to subway and plenty of great things within walking distance too, including beautiful Prospect Park. We would definitely stay again, highly recommend!
I had a lovely stay in Sean's private basement studio! The price was amazing considering the privacy and amenities that the Airbnb offered up. The space looks exactly like what the photo offers up, and you can't really go wrong with a private bathroom and entrance! I felt very welcomed by Sean and Katy. They made excellent hosts, even offering me the opportunity to join them at a concert one Saturday evening. Top-quality hosts and Airbnb-ers! When I come back to the city, I will definitely still keep them in mind.
My first Airbnb experience was a success! And their hospitality was the cherry on top. Thank you, Sean!
This is a great space in a cute neighborhood. We'd never spent much time in the area, and Sean and his wife were really great about helping orient us and very helpful in general. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

I live in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a scientist and music lover. I take a photo a day and post it to my blog. Been doing that since 2009. My wife is a musician and artist and teacher. We love to travel but just had a baby, so we are letting travelers come to us.
