You're expected to have a great time. But smoke your cigarettes outside, it's nice outside. You can cook in the kitchen, just let us know when.
We had a brief chat with our host when we arrived late Tuesday evening. He was warm and welcoming and answered questions about where we might go for breakfast.
The place was clean and comfortable and had adequate space. ACs were on as it was a very hot day, and the room was comfortably cooled off. Extras: bathroom was stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair blower. Plus: a bed and a pull-out sofa bed - which were made up for us. I would definitely recommend this place and would return there. House is set back from street with a cute yard and a peach tree.
I agree with many of the glowing reviews - Sean is a very responsive host, the location is terrific (we were visiting my daughter who lives 3 blocks away) and the private entrance and bath are convenient. However, the room itself need some updating to improve comfort - 2 broken door handles, chipped paint on the toilet seat, no window shades to block outdoor lights. Still a good choice for the budget conscious.
Sean and his family were easy to reach by phone and were there when we arrived. They were friendly enough.
Sean was a great host! I really enjoyed staying in his place; very cozy and comfortable.
This was a classic case of "under promise and over deliver." Sean and Katey were the perfect hosts. Sean was very responsive from the outset providing us with fantastic places to add to our list of things not to be missed while in town. This is an ideal crash pad from which to navigate Brooklyn, Manhattan and beyond. Conveniently located in perfect proximity to subways and taxis, and yet just far enough away from the action to enjoy a good night's rest and the sun rising to the tune of birds singing. Flexible checkin and checkout was yet another plus in our stress-free experience. I'd definitely stay with Sean and Katey again. They made us feel like we were staying with friends. Thank you for a fantastic first Airbnb experience! We're hooked!
Sean & his family were very welcoming. He made us coffee & was the perfect host!
What a fantastic base to explore Brooklyn & Manhattan!! And it's no wonder Sean & Katy are super hosts... They were only ever warm, friendly, welcoming & kind, which was super appreciated! They were helpful & had no problems answering our questions and offering directions. They allowed us to use their kitchen for heating up leftovers, storing drinks & getting water from the filter. They have a charming young daughter & an interesting tempered cat!!! We thoroughly enjoyed being entertained by 'Cat'!!! The place comes exactly as described. Clean, private & cosy, easy to come & go at any time & reasonably priced. We'd stay again. Highly recommended. Thank you for hosting us!!

About the Host, Sean
I live in Brooklyn, NY. I'm a scientist and music lover. I take a photo a day and post it to my blog. Been doing that since 2009. My wife is a musician and artist and teacher. We love to travel but just had a baby, so we are letting travelers come to us.
