Allen was a great communicator in anticipation of our trip and the property was just as great as described and shown in the photos. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Allen was an absolute joy. Allen is professional, completely customer-oriented, and incredibly responsive and attentive. Allen was the perfect host. My family rented both of Allen's attached properties on Calvert Street for my early October wedding. My family arrived right as the previous guests were leaving. I worked with Allen to ensure my family would be able to drop their bags off at the house while the cleaning crew readied the properties. It is Allen's extra attention to detail and hospitable nature that really made my family's experience all the more special and enjoyable. The property is spacious but cozy and located in the perfect area for tourists and locals alike, steps from dozens of restaurants, bars, and entertainment.
Apartment well equipped and decorated with taste but this is a basement and therefore there is almost no natural light and no fresh air possibilities.
The cleanliness was correct but not as clean as we would have expected, especially for the kitchen, plates, cutlery, etc.
The beds are not comfortable and they were damp so our nights were not great.
Otherwise it is a good location and we had no problem with the apartment but it doesn't seem to be the right value for money according to us.
The apartment was very clean, and streamlined. The accommodations were perfect for our large group (we also rented the upstairs unit). There were not mechanical or other issues, and the location was superb. Walking distance to the Metro and restaurants and nightlife in Adams Morgan. Loved it!
Great place and in a great location, had a very nice stay at Allen's apartment.
Allan's basement apartment is in the perfect location. The Metro is a few blocks away but since there were five of us the taxi ride to and from the Mall was also convenient. The apartment itself is clean, lots and lots of towels, which we were grateful for. Grocery near and we all ate breakfast at the apartment. Walked to the Zoo. Great restaurants near. Tons of ethic food, yummy New Orleans style seafood boil. My two grandchildren loved the neighborhood. Washer/dryer was such a luxury. All in all we had a grand trip.
Allen's place worked out perfectly for us! It is a nice apartment and the location was excellent. We were able to walk most places or if we were too tired to walk, it was a short distance to the Metro.

The redhead next to me is my wife Ana.
We have 2 daughters who are grown and are on their own ( not really, if you are a parent you know) and a 14 pound Schnoodle ( he thinks he is a giant). We have been living in the DC metro area for about 36 years and absolutely love it. Washington DC is a beautiful city, it really is and for people coming here to spend their vacations or attend conferences (Walter E. Washington Convention Center), weddings (so many beautiful churches), funerals (The Arlington Cemetery), graduations (so many great universities), sight seeing (do I need to mention this?), museums, festivals etc. etc.. There isn't any city that offers so much.
I manage the properties and Ana tells me what to do!!!! We are a great team and enjoy doing what we do.
