This lovely 1-bedroom apartment in Cole Valley has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom and private deck overlooking the city is a separate unit and takes up the entire top floor of our classic Victorian house. It is decorated with soothing earth-tone fabrics and charming seascape paintings, and will be a relaxing retreat whether you're in town for work or vacation.
It has one extremely comfortable queen-sized bed and chaise with terrific views of the city, and a living room with a couch that folds out to a double bed, kitchen and desk, with VCR and TV (with cable, including HBO and Showtime) and internet. The large deck also has magnificent views of the city.
It is situated in lovely Cole Valley, in walking distance of UCSF and its shuttles to Mission Bay and elsewhere. It is a short walk to Golden Gate Park (great for running, walking, or just exploring beautiful gardens and nature), the Haight-Ashbury, and steps from public transportation (1 block to the bus stop, 2 blocks to the N-Judah train stop; we do not have a garage) and very close to the charming restaurants, shops and services of Cole Valley and the Haight (including a short jaunt to Whole Foods and other natural food stores).
This apartment is perfect if you're in town for work (especially at UCSF), or just in town to relax and visit!
I will mention that to get to this lovely apartment does involve lots of stairs to climb, since it's on the 4th floor and set above the street. But the view and light are well worth the climb.
In terms of getting to the apartment from the airport, you can take a cab here, a bus, the Super Shuttle (a very inexpensive, great way to get here-- just (website hidden) "Super Shuttle" to check fares and schedule a pick-up/ drop-off), or the MUNI train (it's right on the N line-- towards Ocean Beach if you're coming from downtown/ Civic Center; the N-Judah if you're coming from the other direction). Getting here with public transportation is very inexpensive and very easy. You just take BART to the Civic Center stop from the airport, and transfer to the MUNI "N" line, going toward Ocean Beach. Our stop is Stanyan Street (at the intersection of Stanyan and Carl streets).
We are extremely close to multiple MUNI and shuttle buses down to Silicon Valley, so public transportation is easy, cheap and plentiful. However, if you're driving, it's also a fairly easy neighborhood to find free parking in. However, while parking is free, it is not unlimited. They ticket every two hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, so you need to either move your car by 10 am (not too hard, there are usually spots to be found, and most people start their day by then anyway), or park in a nearby parking lot (there are a couple lots within a 10 minute walk where you can pay to park all day, should you want to leave your car at home for the day. There are also some streets nearby where you can park round the clock for free and they don't ticket, but you have to search a bit for them.

This was only the second time my husband and I had used air bnb and Stacey couldn't have made the experience any better. The apartment has beautiful views, very private, quiet and safe and equipped with everything you need. Cole Valley is a great, friendly neighbourhood and a good place to escape to after a busy day in the city. It's full of great cafés and shops and beautiful houses. Finally Stacey was the perfect host, super helpful and responsive and dealing with her really made us both feel like we had a friend in the city. She couldn't have been more helpful. If we ever visit SF again we will certainly stay here again.
This place is so cute and cozy, and Stacey is really organized. There were signs and labels for everything, and many amenities provided for. The view is great and even the futon was comfortable. The stairs are a little scary (especially in heels) but the automatic lights are very guiding. I did hear the baby from the floor below, but it wasn't loud enough to wake me, and I'm a light sleeper. Be sure to walk softly as the floors are creaky. I'm definitely planning on staying here again the next time I go to SF!
This apartment is really cool, and the views across San Francisco are lovely. One of the beds is in a cupboard and we felt like Harry Potter. Check in is really easy and the location is ideal for exploring the city.
Fantastic apartment! Used as home base for me and my 3 and 6 year olds, great transit and walking access to the city, fantastic views and my 3 year old even made it up all the steps at the end of every day :) Extremely clean, lots of extra blankets and towels, lots of light.
Stacey is a warm and welcoming host and available if you need her.
The unit has spectacular views of San Francisco and is close to anything one may want: a walk in the park, a visit to a museum, good food, easy transportation, etc. Highly recommend.
We spent 4 nights at Stacey's. A very nice place with a great deck
having a wonderful view of the city. Enjoyed it.

My mom stayed here over the holidays and loved it! The apartment is well-equipped. well-layed out and in the best SF location. The view from the private back deck is beautiful. Stacey is extremely helpful, kind and responsive. I highly recommend this apartment!
Wow what a brilliant location! Clean and centrally located we walked to Haight Ashbury, Mission and even the Mission District. Conviently located near the Golden Gate Park and ideally suited to our small family (toddler 18months). Thank you for organizing a stroller for us it was a life saver!!We loved our first trip to San Fran and will definitely return!
The view from this apartment was incredible and the area was wonderful. Stacey provided lots of useful information about the suburb and was quick to respond to any enquiries we had. Amazing shops nearby and incredibly easy to get anywhere you'll want to go.
This apartment was my best experience through airbnb. Safe neighborhood & easy to get around. The views were amazing from both the bedroom & the deck where you can see the city & also a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge. She was very accommodating & we will definitely be returning on our next San Francisco trip
