My brief stay with two friends was very comfortable. The house is quaint and easy to find amid spectacular mountain scenery ;so much to do in the area. Kathi was very helpful and communicative, and always reachable, suggesting restaurants and local sights such as hikes to visit.
Ammonoosuc House was the ideal crash pad after a long day of hiking. It was cozy, comfortable, and had everything you would want to be able to relax and recharge. The location is great, and Fred and Kathi are experienced and thoughtful hosts. Would definitely stay here again (and probably will).
Unfortunately we did not meet Fred & Kathi to thank them in person for what was a truly wonderful stay in their cabin. It was immaculately clean, cosy and well equipped. It was situated in a wonderful spot and very easy to find. We really regret not having the time to stay there longer and would love to return one day. Recommended without reservation!
Had a great time in Ammonoosuc. The place is cozy and very comfortable. Hosts were amazing; very welcoming and full of tips on what to do. Location is perfect for the White Mountains.
We had a great time in Twin Mountain! Kathi and Fred are the kindest hosts, preparing campfire for us, even inviting us to their big ones - the kids loved it. And we all enjoyed the hinking in the nearby white mountains!
The cabin is cute and a real doll house. For four people (we a kid and a baby with us) it is a bit tiny though - especially since you need to go through the bathroom to get into all bedrooms. But after all it was a geniune cabin experience!
PS: for our 3y-old it was the most memorably place we stayed so far! ;-)
Really appreciate the cabin, advices of Kathi & Fred on what to do in the White Mountains, all required for cooking in the kitchen and the campfire, in addition with wonderful sunny days!
Thank you Jean Pierre! And thank your daughter for the beautiful drawing she did in our guest book. She has quite a talent. So glad we got to meet you and Nelly and the children! Fred has ALL that firewood split and stacked now! You did have a very nice week for weather. It's getting chilly at night now!
Great place to stay. Convenient to some wonderful hiking, and fully equipped for sleeping comfort, meal prep, and cleaning up after a hard day on the trail. They also had a great selection of games and books to keep you busy on a rainy day. Kathi and Fred were flexible and easy to work with. We'd definitely stay there again.
An overall great experience in a wonderful cottage. We stayed at the Ammonoosuc House for two nights to hike Mt. Washington. The house has everything you need and a great backyard for a relaxing evening fire.
Fred and Kathi are great hosts, very responsive and very knowledgeable about the local area. I would highly recommend this house if you were planning a trip to the White Mountains.
Great cabin with all the amenities you would need. They provided towels, sheets, glassware, plates and utensils. They even had wine available to purchase for $10 per bottle. We were in town for a wedding at Bretton Woods. This was about 12 minutes away from the venue.
The hosts were informative and helpful. Thank you, Kathi and Fred!
