Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We absolutely loved our stay at Graham and Carol's home. Our room was just as pictured and described, if not better :) . The bed was extremely comfortable, spacious, airy room with a cosy and private living area, extending into the outdoor area with a luxurious pool and Bali hut. 5 star quality I must say.
Carol and Graham were very friendly and welcoming. They were always up for a chat but at the same time not intrusive. Real genuine people.
The location is perfect, 5 minutes from the main town, bus stop around the corner.
The breakfast was delicious, fresh coffee (your preferred style), croissants, range of muesli to choose from, spreads, juice, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, in simple words they provided a hearty breakfast.
We thoroughly enjoyed the little touches Carol and Graham add to your stay; chocolates, lollies, map with personalised notes, folder with brochures and assistance with places to go to. I could go on and on. We will definitely stay again if we are to visit Noosa again, hopefully sometime soon.

  • Carol and Graham were great hosts, the room is comfortable and clean. They picked me up from the bus stop which was very kind and helpful, they showed me around the local area to get my bearings. Breakfast was delicious and Graham and Carol are always up for a chat which was is great and makes you feel welcome. Always offering suggestions of things to do, places to go, buses to catch which was great. Noosa is a beautiful place and can't rate staying here highly enough.

    Response from Graham & Carol:

Thanks Gemma for the lovely words, It was lovely having you stay with us. Hope the rest of your exciting trip is going well.

  • The stay with Carol and Graham was a 5 star experience! The description in Air bnb is very modest compared to what is expecting you :) Everything is clean, beautiful arranged (mix betwwen autralian surfing style and bali style) and the hosts are so friendly. They picked me up from an awful hostel and gave me all relevant information and help I needed (meteo, tides timing, sunset, showed me sunshine beach centre, bus timings, map etc.).
The breakfast is huge and you can have whatever you want (muesli, cornflakes, bread, croissants, delicous cappuccino, fruit salad, yoghurt etc.). I was lucky to be also invited to a nice barbecue where I had very interesting conversations with Carol and Graham and their friends about Australia.
This is an Airbnb where you can really get to know each other and learn from the Australian culture and mentality!
Even if the place is not central in Noosa (which is not necessary!) you are very quickly with the bus in Noosa Junction (I recommend to see Hastings street). Just be careful: the last bus drives into city at 6pm! The best would be to have a car, but i travelled there as a backpacker.
The beach is nearby (just down the stairs, 5 minutes) and there is nobody at the beach. I have never seen so huge waves (so dont go bathing to deep, it is dangerous)!
If you are fit just walk to Noosa beach, it will take you about 3 hours through the national park and you maybe will see dolphins and whales!
PS: I would reccomend to stay here rather then in Noosa! You have a more quality stay for a better price!

    Response from Graham & Carol:

The last bus (No 626) our local bus, going back to Noosa is 6.00pm but coming to Sunrise the last bus arrives here at 7.00pm. After this time the bus on the main road a 10-15 min walk (No 620) runs hourly until very late at night and weekends early morning.

  • We enjoyed our stay with Graham and Carol, who made us feel quite at home. We liked having the privacy of the downstairs, but also the chance each morning (and other times) to sit and talk with them over (a very healthy) breakfast and coffee. They provided us with information and great suggestions about the area, including hiking in the national park, kayaking up the river, which beaches were safe to swim, and where we'd find good, but not too pricey restaurants.

Their home is a short walk down to the beach, which we make good use of for a sunset beer and appetizers. But we also enjoyed just hanging in their Bali-like pagoda, taking a dip in the pool, and checking out their resident frog.

The only real downside is the location - a quiet neighborhood but you really need a car (or bicycles) to go to the store or to restaurants.

All in all, a fine stay with good hosts.

  • Staying in the bali-style house near the beach was really great!
Graham and Carol gave us a warm welcome and had a lot of tips what to do around Noosa.
They served us breakfast on the balcony with the Magpies :-) , they might sing for you when you feed them.
For dinner we could use the bbq and eat outside.
The pool was great for a swim and the beach is just a few minutes away...
To the city center its 5min with the car but there is also a bus stop next door.
If you wanna book a tour (Fraser Island,...) the companies will pick you up at the front door!
We recommended the bnb if you wanna have relaxed days at Sunrise Beach!

Thanks Claudia and Daniel, glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope work and life is not too hectic now you are back home. Try not to work too hard.

  • Thankyou Graham and Carol for a fantastic stay. Everything surpassed expectations. I loved the pool and cabana, the private living area's and the location was very handy to the Noosa area. The best thing about staying with you both was your hospitality, great conversations and a fantastic breakfast each morning. Airbnb should use you both as model Airbnb hosts or teachers for new hosts. Thank you.

The facilities are very clean and nicely looked after, the outdoor pool was a great place to refresh ourselves after a long and hot Day.

  • My partner and I booked a small holiday through Airbnb for the first time recently. We found Graham and Carol's communication prior to arrival excellent. They were great hosts and hospitable. The outdoor pool was a pleasure to utilise and found the location great to local transport, beach and of course restaurants.

Born, bred, married and raised our 3 sons in Adelaide, South Australia. After spending 5 years living in PNG made the big move north to Noosa 1994. A career change saw us manage a holiday resort on beautiful Noosa Main Beach for 7 1/2 years before retiring. After renovating our present home we have been house parents to International students for several years. Discovering airbnb while looking for accommodation for a European trip in 2011 we decided to list our house. We love traveling and meeting other travelers and have stayed with several airbnb hosts around the world during European and Australian holidays. We enjoy the outdoor lifestyle our beautiful area affords us, the company of good friends, surfing, walking, the beach, gardening, dining out. The best things in life are free, but, life is too short for bad coffee and cheap wine. Having 3 sons and 5 grand children scattered around Australia we enjoy visiting and having visitors.
