We didn't meet Mary, but her partner Starsky was very nice and communicative before our arrival. The apartment itself is located between two subway stations so is quite convenient for getting in to Barcelona. Unfortunately our room, compared to similarly priced airbnb's, wasn't great. The bed had springs poking into our backs and was tiny even for a double bed. Any time I turned over I had another lump that I was lying on. I slept on the floor on the first night because it was a flat surface, and I got more sleep there than on the bed. I can't comment on the kitchen as we were out of the flat too much to use it! But the shared bathroom is nice enough, it was very clean and tidy.
A lovely host and apartment, but unfortunately 2 nights of very little sleep!
It's a little bit noisy outside the window, but the price is really cheap and the room is clean.
I really enjoyed staying there. The location is literally perfect in that you can see not only the wonderful fountain show but also the view looking down from the museum with only 5min walk. And there is a metro as well. Starsky is a good host I think. He explained everything that I should know simply. At first, I had felt there were too much that I must beware of in using the flat compared to last experience of using airbnb in Belgium, but I came to know that it's not big deal at all in the end.
We had such a great time in barcelona, the room and the flat are very clean and convenient, close to the center, thanks a lot starsky.
L'hôte nous a accueilli en nous énumérant les régles à respecter et puis c'est tout.
L'appartement est situé sur une très grosse avenue à 3 arrêts de métro du centre.
Great experience! Starsky met us at the door, explained everything about the apartment, and answered a few of our touristy questions! The apartment was in a great location, nice area.
We enjoyed our 5-day stay very much - felt warmly welcome by the host (although due to a delayed flight and a strike at the airport we arrived at 5am instead of originally planned 1am). The place meets the description and is quiet. Still provides a nice opportunity to meet other travelers as there are 3 rooms (4 guest) in total in the apartment.
