Everything was great. It was no problem stay in Barcelona. Thanks Starsky!
It was a pleasure to meet Mary and Starsky, they are both lovely. I enjoyed my time in Barcelona, the house is nice and in a good location. Will definitely be back.
This was a great place! Small room, but wry everything we needed and enough space for two. It is also convenient to the metro and has some good food around! All in all, definitely worth it.
Good place! Nice environment! Sara is easygoing and friendly~ her cats are cute:)
The flat is nice with a great view and lots of light. The location was a bit out of the way- about an hour walk to the water/ downtown. But the subway is very convenient. Hosts were not there too much- but were friendly and helpful when around.
Hi Benjamin, thanks for the comments. I would just like to clarify to our future guests that our flat is in fact, located in the city center. As described on our page, we are located near several important tourist destinations (Montjuic, Magic Fountains, Poble Español, Joan Miro Museum, MNAC, Arenas, to name just a few). Barcelona is a big city and the sites are spread out. We are not located near the beach, that is true, but that does not mean we are not in the center. For visitors who want to be near the beach, you should search in neighborhoods like Barceloneta, Vila Olimpica and Poble Nou. However, the zones will also include a much higher price tag in general as being near the beach is of course, very desirable for many.
Excellent position of the house, nice room and good welcoming from Stursky!
My plane was over 2 hours late, meaning that I got to Starsky and Mary's after 1 AM. Still I was made welcome and comfortable. Nice people, quiet room and a convenient location.
Thanks for the nice comments Jonna! I'm just clarifying in case other future guests read the comments :) The flat has a very secure lock with 5 deadbolts, but the individual rooms don't have their own locks (not even our room has one). But, we have been hosting guests for 2.5 years and have never had an incident, so I hope people feel safe if our home! Glad you enjoyed your stay :)

I'm from Portland ,Oregon, USA and I've been living in Barcelona since June 2011. I studied a master's degree in Translation Studies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and am currently working as a freelance translator/english teacher.
My interests include, yoga, hiking, camping, cooking, soccer, dancing, el Camino de Santiago, running, foreign languages, and of course, world travel. I couldn't pick a favourite place in the world, there are too many wonderful things to see and experience; however, next on my destination list is the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal.
My husband Starsky is from Colombia and works as an architect here in Barcelona. His passions include 3D printing, programming, robots, music, running, hiking and chatting with interesting people.
