About This Listing
This is a cute little cabin that is surrounded by nature and is very private. Two walls are teak wall panels from 150 year old Thai buildings as well as the teak trusses that support the 16' foot sky blue ceiling. Comes with outdoor cold shower, sink area and private toilet. Covered hot shower is in the common area.
This is a great place for those that appreciate simple beauty and nature. It comes with bikes for a quick 3 minute ride to wonderful Moloaa bay or a 10 minute walk.
This is a place to remember our connection to the wonder of life. It is a place to relax, unplug, and experience life the way it once was. Come enjoy the open air structures, the healing ocean, and the beauty that is Old Kaua’i.
We have snorkling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers and bikes for our guest free of charge.

Interaction with Guests
We are happy to talk with our guest if they want to know about anything. We also are happy to let our guest have their own personal retreat time without interuptions.
We are just a few minutes from Moloaa Bay, which is great for swimming, snokling on the north and south sides, enjoying the nice beaches and hiking to the north point for sunrise to see turtles or whales.
We also have Moloaa fruit stand just up the road for coffee, smoothies, sandwiches; as well as a good health food store 10 minutes drive to the north. Also Common ground garden restaurant across from the health food store has organic and local breakfast and lunches that are wonderful.
We really recommend renting a car due to the fact that Kaua'i is very spread out.
That said, the bus stop is up the hill at Moloaa fruit stand and hitch hiking is common and easy in Kauai.
We appreciate people who like the beauty of quietness and are interested in the natural ways of Kauai. No smoking indoors, moderate drinking okay.
Aloha Anthony ! I am so glad that good karma has made us to come across your paradise. Being an environmental conscious person, I have tremendous respect and admiration for your use of recycled materials to build your dream house. Your vision of the harmonious place to share with us is epic. I was dazzled by your creative energy and craftmanship. All the best to You and Hammi. Warm hug :))
Staying here was a wonderful escape into a lush tropical oasis. We wanted a different experience than the run of the mill resort, and we got it. The grounds are full of mature fruit trees including mango, lychee, papaya and jackfruit, just to name a few. Beatuful chickens roam the grounds. The Thai Garden House was a beautiful indoor/outdoor bungalow. It's surrounded by flowering trees that make it feel very private. Yes, there are few bugs because of how open the space is but it did not affect the experience. Anthony and Hami were wonderful hosts and amazing people. They have done an extraordinary job at creating a safe, beautiful escape. I will definitely stay here the next time I return to Kauai.
Thai garden house and the whole property met and exceeded our expectations. We felt very welcomed upon arrival by our hosts and felt right at home. They even invited us up to their house for a sauna and some helpful info about the island. The neighborhood was equally beautiful and felt very safe. The amenities were great. The bathroom was separate from our room but private. The shower was shared but again always felt very private, and serene. The common area was a nice place to relax and hang out with other guests and the adorable house cats. There is a beautiful beach just a few minutes walking distance. We can't wait to come back. We will definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit.
The Thai Garden House was beautiful! We loved staying at this place during our stay. The common area and Thai House are described perfectly in the listing and pictures. We were pleasantly welcomed by Hami at our arrival and given details about the property. Moloaa Bay is a quick 10 minute walk away and certainly the perfect spot to disconnect and relax.
The bed was comfortable inside the house and there was just enough room to spread out. Plenty of towels to utilize for washing up and for the beach. There were bugs around the house (outside) but this is normal because of how the property is set up. We didn't mind at all! A cool breeze was always present at night and made it easy to sleep with the open windows.
The common area was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. Though we didn't utilize the kitchen area a lot I can see this area being very helpful during a stay in Kauai.
Overall a great stay, we would definitely recommend.
The Thai Garden House was lovely and as advertised. A great affordable way to visit Kauai and stay connected with nature while visiting. The fruit stand up the road is amazing. One beach is a short walk away and countless others a short drive (I definitely recommend renting a car - preferably from a local agency). Anthony and Hami are charming people who are a pleasure to meet but give you all the space you want!
