Squeezed between the similarly charming (and high-ranking) neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill offers the best of both of those worlds. Some wonderful food markets include Union Market (gourmet), Trader Joe's, Pacific Green, Park Natural Foods. In addition, on Sundays, there is a wonderful outdoor farmer's market just 2 blocks away.
The F and G trains are 1 block away, and a 10 minute walk will take you to the A, C, N, R, 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains. In addition, there is a public city bus that stops on our corner.
We're on a quiet tree-lined block, and you'll have a great deal of peace, quiet and privacy in our downstairs quarters. You'll have access to our beautiful garden - an oasis in the heart of Brooklyn!

My husband and I were in Brooklyn to visit our goddaughter, and wanted to stay someplace other than a hotel. Paul and Debra were both so friendly and helpful, their location is fantastic, and we appreciated the spaciousness with two bedrooms and a sitting room. There is an endless selection of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. We highly recommend walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, which is also within walking distance. We are so glad we booked their place!
Some friends and I were in town for a conference and Paul and Debra's place was perfect for our stay. Everything was as pictured, spacious and very clean. Conveniently located in Cobble Hill. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and experience! When conference tickets go on sale again next year, I'll definitely be looking to book again!
We came to Brooklyn for our son's wedding from Louisville Kentucky. We were welcomed warmly after driving 12 hours. We had moved from Croton on Hudson, a year ago, so we knew Brooklyn. The accommodations worked out well for us.
We were in New York for a busy weekend of family events, both in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Flatows' apartment was perfect for us -- close to my son's apartment in Brooklyn, close to the subway into Manhattan, and the neighborhood has everything you could want. We came and went often and it felt just like going home to change clothes. The apartment is comfortable and quiet and opens onto a pretty back garden. The hosts were helpful and friendly and considerate throughout our stay.
This is our third time renting Paul's space, always a great experience. Paul and Debra were wonderful hosts as usual, the space is clean, comfortable, and spacious. And the location is perfect!
I had a great stay at Paul and Debra's place. The two of them are delightful. The place is nice, with a lovely outdoor area. It's located within walking distance of a ton of great restaurants and bars, not to mention the subway. My only complaint is that I was in town for work and didn't have more time to enjoy the neighborhood.
We really enjoyed our stay with Paul and Debra. They are great hosts, answering our questions on what to see and how to get there with informed advice. They went out of their way to be accommodating. The apartment is very attractive and comfortable, with the garden an added plus. The location is terrific with almost immediate access to shopping and restaurants.
This was our second time staying at Paul and Debra's. My family and I find their place to be very comfortable, affordable, and convenient. Great location, walkable to everything. Paul and Debra are very accommodating and welcoming. I am sure we will have many future trips back to their place whenever we visit Brooklyn.
Great location and convenient, comfortable space. Paul and Debra were gracious hosts, and the suite was a great size and layout for a couple and a third person.
Couldn't be more convenient to neighborhood shops, restaurants, and bars, and easily in reach of the other destinations we needed to get to in Lower Manhattan (the F is right at Carroll Street and minutes to Manhattan). Would highly recommend. Thanks
My wife's mother-in-law and her good friend stayed in Paul and Debra's rental while visiting us from the Midwest, and were made to feel every bit "at home" during their stay in Brooklyn. They both raved not only about the apartment - spacious, spotless, with a beautiful patio garden and koi pond to enjoy - but the location as well, nestled in between all the wonderful shops and fantastic restaurants Carroll Gardens' Smith and Court Streets have to offer. Paul and Debra were exceptional hosts (my mother-in-law still keeps in touch with them), providing insight into the must-see spots in the area, and were wonderful company. This is hands-down our top recommendation for any family/friends visiting from out of town - we feel so lucky to have discovered Paul and Debra, and their amazing rental.
