The space

Two bedroom, plus living room, fully carpeted, cozy garden apartment, with access to beautifully landscaped garden. Upon entering our home, guest quarters are down a carpeted flight of stairs to the garden level. There is a private bathroom w/ shower. One bedroom contains a double bed, the other bedroom has a single bed. Large, comfortable living room in your own private quarters, with cable TV (HBO), and high speed wireless internet. No kitchen, but there is a mini refrigerator. Close to all city subways, Brooklyn Bridge, trendy Smith Street, restaurants, bars, bakeries, pizzerias, wine stores, boutiques, yoga studios and playgrounds. Walking distance to the new Barclay's Center, Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Museum, Botanical Garden, and to viewing the NYC marathon.

Squeezed between the similarly charming (and high-ranking) neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill offers the best of both of those worlds. Smith and Court Streets are among the most interesting and diverse retail corridors in the city, and the housing stock is superb, with beautiful and well-maintained nineteenth-century homes and plenty of modern amenities. Popular restaurants include Lucali, Frankies 457, Buttermilk Channel, Prime Meats, Cafe LuLuc, and Cafe Cubana, among many others.
Some wonderful food markets include Union Market (gourmet), Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Park Natural Foods, Stinky Brooklyn and numerous bakeries, coffee bars, and wine shops. In addition, on Sundays, there is a wonderful outdoor farmer's market just 2 blocks away.

The F and G trains are 1 block away, and a 10 minute walk will take you to the A, C, N, R, 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains. In addition, there is a public city bus that stops on our corner.

We're on a quiet tree-lined block, and you'll have a great deal of peace, quiet and privacy in our downstairs quarters. You'll have access to our beautiful garden - an oasis in the heart of Brooklyn!

Debra and Paul are great hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Although the space is the downstairs of their home and not an apartment with a kitchen, it's quite roomy and comfortable. The neighborhood is great with lots of restaurants and bars a short walk away. The street is very quiet and close to the subway. Debra and Paul were very accommodating, and they arranged for us to drop off our suitcases before check in time. We really appreciated the fresh flowers and the welcome basket too.

Paul and Debra have a perfect location in the heart of Cobble Hill. This was the first time we stayed in this neighborhood and we loved it. I definitely want to go back! The location is very convenient for restaurants, coffee shops, and the subway. Debra met us at check-in and give us a ton of tips. The space is very clean and comfortable and worked perfectly for us. Paul and Debra are great hosts.

We stayed at Deb and Paul's for a weekend visiting friends nearby with our 2.5 year old. They provided and set up a pack n play ahead of time which was a huge help. It was a perfect place for our weekend getaway. Plenty of space and everything we needed. They are amazing hosts. Very friendly and communicative. Great neighborhood. Great for young kids. Lots of kid friendly restaurants and several playgrounds.

This is a very satisfying place to stay being away from home. We spent three days in NY city and it was always pleasure to return back to this quiet place with the beautiful private garden after roaming through the big crowed city. And, of course, you wouldn't want better hosts than Paul and Debra.

Deb and Paul were most hospitable. We were graciously greeted and offered help locating our destinations. This Airbnb location is close to several subway stations. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area. We always felt safe.
