ABOUT EAST NASHVILLE:
East Nashville is such a rad little part of the world. We are under a mile away from some of Nashville's best restaurants, and according to The New York Times, some of the best restaurants anywhere!
Under a mile away:
The Silly Goose (my favorite for organic and local fare), The Wild Cow (delicious vegan), Rose Pepper (Mexican fare), Eastland Cafe (for fine dining), and our beloved Jeni's Ice Cream Shop and many hip coffee shops.
You might consider a short drive to check out Marche Artisan Foods (accessible fine dining), The Pharmacy (rad burger joint and beer garden), Mas Tacos (the best tacos ever, in my opinion) and/or Holland House (excellent cuisine and fancy custom adult beverages you will love), all of which are located right here in East Nashville. And really, there are so many more, these are just my favorites. :)
Our house is clean, safe, convenient to Downtown Nashville and filled with good vibes. We hope our home gives off a happy peaceful glow to our guests.
Plentiful street parking and walking distance from bus route thru East Nashville directly to Downtown/Titans Stadium/Honky Tonk Bars/Bridgestone Arena. 10 minutes to downtown.
Taxis are convenient when coming from downtown or the airport, but not so much going to anything from the house. Several of our guests have been using a service called Lyft-- it's a lot like Airbnb. It's people with cars instead of people with room in their homes. There are even first time user coupons that could potentially get you thru your trip without having to spend anything on transportation. (website hidden) Lyft or download the iPhone app for more information.
We have two listings in the same house. If traveling in large groups, check to see if both rooms are available for a full house rental.
Laura was a wonderful host - the bedroom (map room) and bathroom were beautiful. She was very helpful in providing a hair dryer last minute and giving us restaurant recommendations. Overall, the location was perfect for visiting East Nashville and downtown. I'd definitely recommend staying here!
Laura and her home were great as usual.
Laura and Adam were very hospitable and offered a warm welcome on our arrival. Not to mention, they were kind enough to accommodate a few extra requests that made out stay more comfortable. The bed is comfy and the room cozy. I would definitely recommend their home and would stay again.
Laura was a wonderful host and the accommodations were superb! Everything was extremely clean and elegant and the house has a very warm and charming artsy vibe. Don't see any reason we would stay any place else next time we're in Music City.
And be sure to ask Laura for recommendations: She was spot on with everywhere she told us to go for food and music. If you're on a budget and have a smart phone, definitely look into the Lyft ride system. We got three free cab rides that made the short (3.5 quick miles) commute downtown very relaxed. Also, go to Mas Tacos for the tortilla soup and Holland House for the happy hour!
Laura and Adam host an excellent room in a great corner of town. The room, the hosts, and the atmosphere of this place was our favorite for all the places we have stayed through airbnb so far.
We loved staying in the map room! The bed was really comfortable and Laura is right - it has great vibes. There's water and fruit and a fun little guest book. Lots of privacy, too - I hadn't stayed in a shared house before, but it turned out great. We obviously all used the same entrance but were basically unaware anyone else was there otherwise.
We were only in town for a few days and during a holiday (New Year's) so our Nashville experience was probably a bit different than most, but if visiting and looking for recommendations of some fun times - ask Laura. I'm pretty sure she's got every restaurant in Nashville on a mental Rolodex, so take advantage. Laura's also super sweet. And if she tells you to go to the Bluebird and you are interested in the songwriting process at all - go! We had already planned to go but after she raved about it, we made it a priority. It was our favorite outing of the trip. Highly recommend their place you're looking for a place to stay in town!
Fantastic experience at this house. The room and bathroom were clean, cozy, and private, but our hosts were extremely warm and helpful. Laura and Adam didn't bat an eyelash when we arrived an hour earlier than agreed upon because we'd forgotten about the time difference, and gave us terrific "intro to Nashville" advice. The coffee maker upstairs is also a nice touch, because it offers additional privacy in the morning, but they were both warm and welcoming when we did interact.
We did not get to meet Laura, but only her partner Adam. He was very gracious in letting us in and and showing us their beautiful home. We only stayed for one night, so didn't get to spend much time with our hosts, but we did get some very good reccomendations.
Twas a quick trip to Nashville but we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Only had one night and our host suggested the perfect thing to do. For two people who have never been to Nashville we did a lot in the short time there. The house was in a very convenient neighborhood. Our hosts were accommodating and the room was very tidy. I would highly recommend staying there.
Super nice hosts. They had the perfect recommendations for where to go and eat and were great to chat with. The room is completely private, with its own bathroom. Felt like being in a plush/hipster hotel. Would absolutely stay again.
