The Neighborhood

ABOUT EAST NASHVILLE:

East Nashville is such a rad little part of the world. We are under a mile away from some of Nashville's best restaurants, and according to The New York Times, some of the best restaurants anywhere!

Under a mile away:

The Silly Goose (my favorite for organic and local fare), The Wild Cow (delicious vegan), Rose Pepper (Mexican fare), Eastland Cafe (for fine dining), and our beloved Jeni's Ice Cream Shop and many hip coffee shops.

You might consider a short drive to check out Marche Artisan Foods (accessible fine dining), The Pharmacy (rad burger joint and beer garden), Mas Tacos (the best tacos ever, in my opinion) and/or Holland House (excellent cuisine and fancy custom adult beverages you will love), all of which are located right here in East Nashville. And really, there are so many more, these are just my favorites. :)

Our house is clean, safe, convenient to Downtown Nashville and filled with good vibes. We hope our home gives off a happy peaceful glow to our guests.

Getting around

Plentiful street parking and walking distance from bus route thru East Nashville directly to Downtown/Titans Stadium/Honky Tonk Bars/Bridgestone Arena. 10 minutes to downtown.

Taxis are convenient when coming from downtown or the airport, but not so much going to anything from the house. Several of our guests have been using a service called Lyft-- it's a lot like Airbnb. It's people with cars instead of people with room in their homes. There are even first time user coupons that could potentially get you thru your trip without having to spend anything on transportation. (website hidden) Lyft or download the iPhone app for more information.

  • Laura and Adam were everything everyone already said they were - welcoming, accommodating, wonderful, lovely... the list could go on.

Their East Nashville Bungalow was in an adorable neighborhood that we loved calling our home base. Super close to downtown and easy access to wherever you want to go. East Nashville was fun to explore with many great dining options that Laura and Adam are totally on top of recommending. We found amazing coffee shops short drives away.

We stayed in the Map Room and it was great. Comforting environment with thoughtful touches throughout. Vibes were great all around. We would definitely not think twice about staying at Laura and Adam's again when revisiting Nashville.

  • So glad we got to stay at Laura and Adam's house in East Nashville! It was perfect for my boyfriend and I to get to ride bikes around the city and close to all of our friends. The girls we shared with were very friendly, too. The whole experience was great :)

  • Staying in Laura and Adam's lovely home was the perfect place for our trip to Nashville! It is in a great location with plenty of street parking and delicious restaurants. The home itself is very nice and has everything you could need. Laura is a tremendous host and was spot on with all of her recommendations! If, and hopefully when, we return to Nashville for another visit we would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for everything, Laura!!

  • What is there to say about this place that already hasn't been said? We had a great time in Nashville, and this was the perfect, cozy place to spend it. Adam greeted us when we first arrived and showed us our area. He was great at recommending places to eat, and venues to check out for music. We had previously been, but didn't know about the newer places that had opened. After that, we didn't see him at all, and unfortunately never got to meet Laura.

While we were there, the other room was also rented out. We never once ran into the other people, nor did we hear them (besides the occasional bathroom fan being turned on with the light).

This was much cheaper for us, and was actually more private and quieter than a hotel! We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book with them again!

We had the whole upstairs to ourselves, besides what I can only assume was Adam's office. But once again, we never ran into him, or Laura, so it was very private.

If you are looking for a place that is in East Nashville, and close t some newer "hip" things, this is a great place to stay!

  • Laura was a wonderful host - the bedroom (map room) and bathroom were beautiful. She was very helpful in providing a hair dryer last minute and giving us restaurant recommendations. Overall, the location was perfect for visiting East Nashville and downtown. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

  • Laura and her home were great as usual.

    February 2014
  • Laura and Adam were very hospitable and offered a warm welcome on our arrival. Not to mention, they were kind enough to accommodate a few extra requests that made out stay more comfortable. The bed is comfy and the room cozy. I would definitely recommend their home and would stay again.

About
My best friend Adam and I moved to East Nashville from New York City a few years ago and bought this magnificent house! I am a songwriter on music row and I love my job! I practice meditation and yoga, and enjoy hiking local trails in Nashville and the surrounding areas. Adam is a former Wall Street bond trader turned entrepreneur. He is currently in school while simultaneously building a company based on his love for family lineage and remembering things. He likes biking, running, photography, Apple Computers and making everyone laugh. He's brilliant and awesome in general. We both share a love of a clean house and a desire to tell people about Nashville, particularly about its food and music scene which we are both huge fans of! There's a ton of recommendations within the listings and we will definitely have more when you get here -- more restaurants and hotspots keep popping up! We're both pretty driven and nerdily in love with our jobs. We bought our house because it had good vibes and our style is an extension of that. It's filled with a hodge podge of mid-century collectables, mixed with many things only valuable to us. Everything has a story behind it, which you might expect from a songwriter and a family lineage buff. In general, we're good vibe seeking type of people. We hope our home gives off a happy peaceful glow to our guests.
