Peter was a very welcoming and excellent host during our stay in Manuel Antonio. He went out of his way to help us on many levels (helped us to book our shuttle back to San Jose) and gave us numerous great tips. He lived on site so he was very easy to communicate with and always answered the phone. The place was perfect for Manuel Antonio. It is outside of the busy small town of Quepos, up in the hills with some beautiful views and literally tucked away into it's own little jungle nook. The pool was gorgeous and the grounds in general were stunning. The cottage was VERY clean, spacious and had absolutely everything you need for a great stay. There were also two very friendly dogs who hung out around the cottage that I loved. Would definitely recommend this place to a family, group of friends, or a couple. The location is perfect- right on the bus line with a 7 min ride to the National park. Overall we couldn't have asked for more!
Staying at Pete's Place was a wonderful experience for me and my wife. The location is superb for getting to the beach, park, and nearby amazing restaurants. Pete is extremely professional and his place is absolutely lovely.
We absolutely loved staying at Pete's Place. It was a cozy little getaway for 2 surrounded by lush plants and exotic flowers everywhere. There was an awesome pool just a short walk down the path which we definitely took advantage of its relaxing solitude. We probably saw more wildlife by the pool than on our whole vacation. Pete was also so accommodating and welcoming once we arrived. He was so friendly and helpful making our trip to Costa Rica a breeze! We definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for everything Pete, we hope to see you again! - John & Keli
We had a great time at Pete's place. The home was very clean, and there was actually a housekeeper who came daily to change the garbage, make the bed, etc. They even changed the sheets once during our 3 day stay and did a dish that we left in the sink! The gardens outside were beautiful and felt like we were walking through the jungle whenever we went outside.
The first night we arrived it was pouring and thunderstorms out and as a result we did see a few geckos in the house, but they stayed on the walls and ran away when you got near so it wasn't much of a problem. There were also the occasional ant found but like I said, we were in a jungle, so its to be expected.
Pete was extremely friendly and offered us lots of help during our trip. We even ran into him one day at breakfast one morning and he came up to us and greeted us like we were old friends.
Overall we really enjoyed our time and were glad we stayed! Thanks again for a great place.
Pete has been a very helpful host so we did find our way around very easily. He is a very sympathetic and easy person. Everything was perfectly organized and went smoothly. The house is perfectly located half way between Quepos and Manuel Antonio NP. Shops, bus stop and restaurants within walking distance. It is a place you can relax despite being right in the middle. A cosy and clean place. And the private pool is just fantastic and just what you need in this area! Thank you Pete for welcoming us!
Pete was a good host, reaching out to us to make sure we can find the place and once there he gave good tips on how to get around the town. The place is clean and cozy and the private pool out back is awesome. We enjoyed our stay.
Peter was a really welcoming and responsive host. He made us feel comfortable in a new place and his property is beautiful. The swimming pool was absolutely amazing and is literally privately tucked into the middle of the rainforest. We even saw some animals while we were swimming in it! The house has everything you may need and is in an excellent location really close to bus stops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. I would recommend staying here if you want to be in the heart of Manuel Antonio!
Thank You Salma for your stay, you were great guests.
Thank for letting me know about the screens, they don't have holes, they are out of the track, maybe my cleaning lady did it cleaning them, but have a guy coming to fix them.
Dogs are being treated, tics are a problem here in CR but I am on it!!
thanks for this, without guests pointing these things out I would not be aware of them.
I wish you both well and hope to see you again
About the Host, Peter
PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!!CONTRARY TO WHAT IT SAYS ABOVE I'M IN MANUEL ANTONIO NOT QUEPOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over the years, I have met some wonderful people here and made friendships that will last forever.
I'm a Leo, I like people, I empathetic and I love to laugh.
Living here has given me the opportunity to be one with nature, spend time at the beach and hang out with other like minded folks who came, fell in love and stayed in one of the special places on the planet.
I'm a reader and fiction works for me (Lee Child, with Jack Reacher are favorites).
I like to meet my guests but then stay out of their way unless needed, they are not here to see me, they are here to see Monkeys, Sloths, Toucans, Dolphins, Whales and all that Costa Rica has to offer.
Did I mention I like kids, and they seem to like me.
I guess you could say I'm a people person , and I'm looking forward to meeting you.
