The Space

Location:
The apartment is only a short 10 min walk to the city centre, and only a 2 min walk from Islands Brygge metro stop, which takes you directly into the city centre (2 stops). Also, the apartment is close to the waterfront at Islands Brygge and to a larger park, Amager Faelled which is great for walking or running. The nearest grocery store and ATM is right around the corner.

The apartment:
The apartment is perfect for the couple or a couple of friends looking for an affordable and comfortable stay in Copenhagen.
The apartment is 56 m2 with one bedroom (one kingsize bed for two people), a livingroom, a full kitchen and a bathroom. The apartment is fully furnished, and there is cable TV and wireless internet. The apartment is non-smoking.

Nearby attractions:
Tivoli (amusement park), Shopping (both Strøget the large shopping street in the centre of the city and Fields the largest shoppping centre in Scandinavia), The city square, Christiania, Christiansborg (parliament) Islands Brygge waterfront and many more.

The neighborhood:
Islands Brygge is one of Copenhagens trendier neighborhoods. Close by you'll find cafés, specialty shops and a good selection of restaurants.
The neighborhood is safe and quiet. The waterfront (email hidden) to hang out. We recommend that you try an ice cream from 'Bryggen 11' - hands down the best ice cream in Copenhagen.

Getting around:
Public transportation in Copenhagen is for the most part well connected, smooth and on time. From the apartment there is only a short walk to the metrostation 'Islands Brygge', and from here you can easily connect to any station in the Copenhagen area.
If you want a true Copenhagen experience you should rent a bike. We recommend that you rent one at 'Schrøder Cykler', a nearby bikeshop.

The hosts:
We are Copenhagen natives and we know the city very well. We can answer any questions you might have about Copenhagen or suggest activities that you might like. We look forward to welcoming you in our apartment.

  • Soren was a very helpful host, providing some good reccomendations on places to go, activities and restaurants. The appartment is super comfortable and is very central - we didn't have to travel further than four metro stops to get everywhere all weekend!

About
I am a Copenhagen native in my late twenties. I live with my girlfriend in Islands Brygge, a cosy and trendy neighborhood close to the city centre. I love Copenhagen and though I have travelled all over the world I couldn't imagine living anywhere else in the world. The city is truely amazing! My favorite thing about Copenhagen is the proximity of everything. I ride my bike to work, to go see friends, to my football pratice etc. I also love the closeness to the water, parks and forest. The transportation system is smooth and well connected. My favorite travel destinations are Tanzania, Costa Rica and Thailand. I haven't been to Australia or New Zealand but I really hope to visit these countries someday.
