The apartment was good, great location and clean.
I highly recommand this apartment.
It was amazing!
I stayed at Rosa's studio near the UN. The apartment is decent if you're looking for the bare minimum (sleeping/showering). However, the studio was pretty dirty when we arrived. Stains on the linen and pillows, hair and dark soggy stuff in the bathroom... With a decent cleanup this place could be a much nicer (website hidden) works well and is definitely a big plus in the summer.
Rosa was very swift in replying me and it was a last minute decision to find a place to stay. But she made it easy for us.
The place was great in terms of location we walk around to Central Park, Times Square and 5th Ave.
We love to run, so we ran outside all the way to Central Park and ended in Times Square for a breakfast at Applebees. It was (email hidden) run in total.
One thing I would suggest is to change the bed to a more comfortable one.
For my first experience renting through AirBnb, this was a very positive experience. Rosa responded right away and was very accommodating given my busy work schedule. She was also flexible with check-in/ check-out time and procedure which was helpful.
I was pleasantly surprised by the apartment when I first walked in, although the photos are quite accurate. My biggest complaint has to do with the bed and the noise. I could feel the springs in the mattress and was awoken on several occasions by trucks rumbling by on 1st avenue.
In summary, I would stay here again but I'm going to look for other options first.
Rosa was very accomodating and met us at the apt as stated. Very friendly And helpful. Tbe area is very safe and surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous and well kept. There is an elevator in case u cannot do stairs or have lots of luggage to carry. The apt is perfect for 2 people, I wouldn't do more unless u are used to that or will be out and about for most of your time. Great wifi. Some people might have complained about the traffic noise but I stay in NYC in lots of lux hotels and I would say the noise is normal if not more quiet in comparison to times Square and other more busy places. Lots of pharmacies on 1st and so many restaurants! !!!
Air conditioning worked great. Lots of hotwater exept later at night but just less hot. Kitchen area small but appropriate for apt size and looks newer.bathroom could use updating but wasnt a priority. Bed was okay for me and my mom slept on couch. Overall..I say this is comfortable stay for 2people. I would book again for our appts at Sloan Outpatient pavlion as its only 6 min or less walk there with an older family member in tow.
Overall I would stay here again.
Rosa was a great host (easy to reach, helpful), and the apartment was really nice.
Don't want to be too negative about this apartment, we have never been to New York before, so we didn't know what to expect for our money, but we were quite disappointed with the standard of furnishings and crockery etc. Bed wasn't very comfortable, furniture was very shabby, Window kept falling open we couldn't seem to keep it shut, although Rosa said it did lock. It was 31 degrees so we needed aircon on a lot it wasn't really efficient enough. The crockery was all mismatched so there were no nice touches at all. Yes it did the job but for nearly £1,000.00 for the week, we feel a bit cheated.
The apartment has a great location, near pubs, restaurants, bus stops, metro. A few blocks from the UN.
Its great for 2, if more, then you have to use the bed couch which it isn't that uncomfortable.
Everything was clean, Rosa was very helpful and responsive.
Apartment was as described. Host was very quick to respond to emails & phone calls, and patiently waited to give us the keys when we were delayed in peak hour traffic.
The only negatives about this place are the bed and the noise. The bed is a very thin, flat mattress on wooden slats. I found it very uncomfortable to sleep on. Also, the air conditioner is fixed to the window, which means that the whole window remains open. As it faces 1st ave, we found it to be pretty noisy with the bus stop downstairs and trucks/cars passing by.
On the plus side, the place was cosy enough for the two of us, and has a convenient lift to get to the third floor. The location was within walking distance to most tourist attractions and subways.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
