Private Bdrm w/AC Heart of Montreal

Apartment - Private room · Clark Street, Montreal, QC H2X 2R6, Canada

Welcome to the Heart of Montreal - Quartier Des Spectacles.

Charming fully furnished bedroom in a very spacious 3 bedroom 2 storey Montreal Triplex.

The Space

The apt is located in the Quartier des Spectacle, the hub of all Montreal events, and festivals. The apt is 300 metres/3 min walk (I (website hidden) mapped it for the precise distance ;) ) from Place des Arts Metro (green line) and 10 Min walk to Sherbrooke metro (orange line). Enjoy all events Montreal has to offer - steps away.

Amenities include one closed bedroom with a queen size mattress, Window Air Conditioner (Not to be overlooked during the super humid and hot summer months) ,Towels, Soaps, Cream, Hair dryer, Curler, Straightener, Iron, Shampoo and free Washing and Drying machine. The apt has high speed Wifi, 2 flat screen TVs with cable and PVR, a fully equipped kitchen, 1.5 shared bathrooms, and BBQ in a large garden. Unfortunately during the winter the access to the garden is blocked by a lot of snow:). Your own set of keys will be provided.

If you like a place with character, brick walls, old wooden floors, in a retreat in the heart of the city, this is the place for you.

Guest Access

I want you to feel at home, and at ease. You are welcome to use all amenities. Essentially I would like people to use my space just as I do - I take my shoes off at the door, and I clean up the dishes after myself.

The living room has a pretty fancy movie system, and a wii. If you want something more quiet, I have plenty of books to borrow or Montreal guides to browse.

Interaction with Guests

I enjoy meeting my guests. I'd love to chat about travelling, Montreal, Food, Concerts (food is definitely my favorite topic.. ).. Art - I like to learn about new things. In the winter, I'm a bit of a homebody during the week, but I can at least direct you towards the Montreal hot spots and must tries.

The Neighborhood

The best place about my home is the location. It's definitely in the heart of the action. Whether you are heading to the plateau, old port, mile-end, quartier latin or want to stay downtown, everything is at walking distance. There are enough restaurants and cafes for you to visit a new one for each meal for the next couple of months. In the summer, the festivals are actually right down the street.. I would usually open the front door, walk out 100 meters and either join the fun or come back for the next show. It's (email hidden)ly neighbourhood. (Don't worry though, all festivals at 10pm, so that you can (email hidden)e street itself is not noisy, but it is definitely more noisy than living let's say in the suburbs.

Getting around

There is street parking available, but you are right downtown and this may be a hit or miss depending on when you are trying to park.

Coming from the airport, is very easy. There is the 747 Bus, it cost $9 and will take you to a stop about 10 min away from my place.

Other Things to Note

Check in and check out is very flexible. You can check in and out at any time.

Once a reservation confirm, I like to get in touch with my guests over email with some restos, to dos suggestions and detailed instructions on how to get to my place.

I speak English and Russian. Je parle francais. Hablo Espanol.

  • Daria was such a fun and sweet host — I adored staying with her. The room was perfectly comfortable, and the location was right near everything I needed. Daria's recommendations for the area were spot-on. Couldn't ask for better!

  • I stayed at Daris'a place for a bit less than 2 weeks. Her house has a magical touch; beautiful decorations, lovely living room and spacious kitchen. The room is just great as it is relatively large (at least it's not small). Daria is a very nice person too and she made me feel like home from the first minute. It's about 5 minutes walk from St. Lauren metro station and from there you can go to any part of the city. I absolutely recommended it. :-)

  • Daria was awesome! Very accommodating and informative on places to eat and explore. Can't wait to go back again in the summer. One of airbnb's finest!

  • Our stay at Daria's apartment was truly a very pleasant experience. Daria is a really warm and friendly young lady who made us feel very comfortable in her home. We couldn't have asked for nicer host than her. Location is great and is so close to everything - 4 minutes from a metro station and full of nice restaurants, tourists attractions and shops, The room is perfect - light and spacious, clean sheets and a towel and fast Internet connection. Daria was very helpful and accommodating, Communication with Daria was wonderful - she responded almost instantly. When stay with daria's place, don't miss the wonderful coffee shop and bakery around the corner -- Godley and Creme. Daria's place will definitely be our place to stay when we return to Montreal We love Daria's and Montreal!

  • Daria's home is so charming and fill of character, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was exactly as pictured and the bed was very comfy. The location is excellent, being only a short stroll to all of the best streets in Montreal. Daria herself was really lovely and welcoming, and made us feel at home and gave us really great food recommendations as well as tips on where to go and what to see. All in all, Daria was a lovely person with a lovely house, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her home to anyone.

  • Daria was a wonderful host! Her home is in the best location - easy to get around. My friend and I came in a car, and Daria helped explain the parking so we wouldn't get ticketed (thanks!!). The room was large and cozy enough for me and my friend during our stay. The living room is beautiful! She really has great decorating taste!
Hope to be back again when it's not so cold... [=

  • Daria was a lovely host - very friendly! I was in town for a conference and very busy every evening with emails and catch-up work, but I wish I could have spent more time hanging out. The apartment is beautiful and in a great location near the Quartier des Spectacles/conference centres. Daria made everything so easy with instruction emails - I was able to get in with no trouble and make myself comfortable.

  • We stayed with Daria for three nights when we attended a film festival nearby. Her apartment is wonderfully located for access to Montreal's leading art venues. The room was light, tidy, and clean, with nice hardwood floors. Daria is charming and very friendly. She directed us to a wonderful coffee shop and bakery around the corner -- Godley and Creme. Don't miss it! This will definitely be our place to stay when we return to Montreal.

Lots to say and yet somehow nothing to fill this white blank with. I have a "big", happy, always smiling personality, who likes to know everything about anything (my favourite books are the facts books, I am always hoping that my newly acquired knowledge will come in handy). I enjoy hosting and getting to know my guests.
