About this listing
Welcome to the Heart of Montreal - Quartier Des Spectacles.
Charming fully furnished bedroom in a very spacious 3 bedroom 2 storey Montreal Triplex.
The apt is located in the Quartier des Spectacle, the hub of all Montreal events, and festivals. The apt is 300 metres/3 min walk (I (website hidden) mapped it for the precise distance ;) ) from Place des Arts Metro (green line) and 10 Min walk to Sherbrooke metro (orange line). Enjoy all events Montreal has to offer - steps away.
Amenities include one closed bedroom with a queen size mattress, Window Air Conditioner (Not to be overlooked during the super humid and hot summer months) ,Towels, Soaps, Cream, Hair dryer, Curler, Straightener, Iron, Shampoo and free Washing and Drying machine. The apt has high speed Wifi, 2 flat screen TVs with cable and PVR, a fully equipped kitchen, 1.5 shared bathrooms, and BBQ in a large garden. Unfortunately during the winter the access to the garden is blocked by a lot of snow:). Your own set of keys will be provided.
If you like a place with character, brick walls, old wooden floors, in a retreat in the heart of the city, this is the place for you.
I want you to feel at home, and at ease. You are welcome to use all amenities. Essentially I would like people to use my space just as I do - I take my shoes off at the door, and I clean up the dishes after myself.
The living room has a pretty fancy movie system, and a wii. If you want something more quiet, I have plenty of books to borrow or Montreal guides to browse.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy meeting my guests. I'd love to chat about travelling, Montreal, Food, Concerts (food is definitely my favorite topic.. ).. Art - I like to learn about new things. In the winter, I'm a bit of a homebody during the week, but I can at least direct you towards the Montreal hot spots and must tries.
The best place about my home is the location. It's definitely in the heart of the action. Whether you are heading to the plateau, old port, mile-end, quartier latin or want to stay downtown, everything is at walking distance. There are enough restaurants and cafes for you to visit a new one for each meal for the next couple of months. In the summer, the festivals are actually right down the street.. I would usually open the front door, walk out 100 meters and either join the fun or come back for the next show. It's (email hidden)ly neighbourhood. (Don't worry though, all festivals at 10pm, so that you can (email hidden)e street itself is not noisy, but it is definitely more noisy than living let's say in the suburbs.
There is street parking available, but you are right downtown and this may be a hit or miss depending on when you are trying to park.
Coming from the airport, is very easy. There is the 747 Bus, it cost $9 and will take you to a stop about 10 min away from my place.
Other Things to Note
Check in and check out is very flexible. You can check in and out at any time.
Once a reservation confirm, I like to get in touch with my guests over email with some restos, to dos suggestions and detailed instructions on how to get to my place.
I speak English and Russian. Je parle francais. Hablo Espanol.
No Smoking inside the house, no guests please :)
About the Host, Daria
I've always wondered what I could learn and accomplish if I just leaped into the unknown. In 2014 I quit my job and packed all my necessities into a carry-on sized backpack and flew to the other side of the world to expand my economic and cultural outlook while exploring 16 countries during 11 months of extensive traveling across Asia and Eurasia. I stayed with Amazing Airbnb hosts all over the world. I just got back home, and ready to host again.
I have a "big", happy, always smiling personality, who likes to know everything about anything (my favourite books are the facts books, I am always hoping that my newly acquired knowledge will come in handy). I enjoy hosting and getting to know my guests.
