The riad is located only a few minutes walking from the main square Jemaa el Fnaa and from the Souk area. Each of our double rooms can host one or more extra beds and each rooms is ensuite (toilette and shower) all of our rooms are located on the patio floor or on the 1st floor. The patio area is the perfect place where to relax after a full day in the souk or in the surrounding's of Marrakech.
This nice brand new double room ensuite is very spacious and comfortable overlooking the garden patio and the plunge pool.
We are the place to be in Marrakech because of our cheap price, central location and living here since 12 years we can give you the best tips and suggest what to do in order to enjoy your holiday.
The access to the house is not permitted to local people you might have known during your trip or in town.
If you have foreigners friends staying in town then they are allowed to access the house in the public ares only (not in the rooms).
The Riad is easy to find if you follow the Description. The Room was beautiful and the courtyard quiet and relaxing. The Dog Samba is a good company and the Staff is very friendly. Redouane is a very friendly host and is charming with kids. We recommend staying at this Place.
Central location and (in terms of the Medina) quite easy to find. The welcome from Redouane and the staff was very nice and we were shown a few rooms to choose from. The place is a bit run down with surface wiring and some pretty rickety features but has loads of potential and set round a lovely courtyard with shady trees and a fountain.
If you want a short stop over in Marrakech without frills and a taste of Riad living without a hefty price tag this is a good option.
We would highly recommend this riad if you plan to stay in Marrakech. On arrival we had no trouble finding the location, because the directions given by the owners on Airbnb are excellent (using landmarks that we could easily find in the city, even though this was our first visit).
The Riad is as beautiful as promised by the photographs, and the building is quiet and safe (the host leaves his iPhone on the table in the common area, evidence of trustworthiness of the riad). We spent time in two different rooms in two different Riads of the same owner. Both are beautiful and have a rooftop terrace with a terrific view. While the open common area could be a bit cold (in December), the rooftop terrace was nice and warm when the sun was out.
The staff working in both Riads are all helpful, friendly and ready to hand out tips for the city if you ask for it. Make sure you visit the public Hamam Zitoun Lakdim (or one of the others), which is quite an experience compared to the fancier Hamams. The Riad staff can point you in the right direction.
Let’s start with the great things about this Riad, it has a fantastic courtyard with fig, orange and banana trees surrounding a smaller pool. It’s all very rustic and Moroccan. In the morning all kinds of birds will sing and fly around the courtyard, it’s a lovely place to eat your breakfast.
Our room was big and there was free wifi. The staff are friendly and will try their best to help you. The riad also offers a great selections of excursions outside of Marrakech that are great and cheep. We went to the Atlas mountains for 150 MDH.
I feel that I should mention that there’s a dog at the riad too, it’s a small one and he’s superfriendly. However, he will follow you everywhere and we woke up several times to the sound of him scratching on our door, which takes me to the bad things about this riad.
Our room was not exactly soundproof, we heard all he conversations taking place at the courtyard, and we can only assume that they heard us too. The dog would whine and bark, speaking of the dog, he was sort of dirty and not groomed properly.
The staff don’t speak a single word of english, only arabic and french, even the simplest questions like: Can I get a roll of toilet paper or can I wash my clothes here, was difficult to convey without sign language.
About the room then, our main concern with the accommodation was that the hot-water didn’t work very well. Some days we simply had to skip showering because of the lack of warm water. Other days the water would burst in a mix of cold and almost boiling water. I’m not kidding, we burned ourselves on the water, it was so hot that only steam would come from the hose.
There was no door to our toilet, we had to settle with a drape and the whole room got pretty cold during the night. However, overall we had a great stay and we really liked this riad.
