The space

Charming penthouse apartment located in downtown Copenhagen. The apartment is small but cozy - decorated with Scandinavian designer furniture.

The apartment: the apartment is on 5th floor in the center of Copenhagen. It is bright and if I my say, quit a lovely place. There is a double bed, and a sofa, big enough to sleep on if you are more than 2 pers. The Kichen is nice and equipped, and the bathroom as well. The double bed is on a hem, under large roof windows so there is great view of the sky - you can sleep under the Copenhagen stars and wake up with the sun. it is a very Romantic place.

The ariea: Christianshavn is an artificial island neighborhood located in downtown Copenhagen. Dominated by canals, it is the part of Copenhagen with the most maritime atmosphere. Christianshavn has developed a bohemian reputation and it is a fashionable, diverse and lively part of the city with its own distinctive personality. Businessmen, students, artists, hippies and traditional families with children live side-by-side.

Transport: Coming from the airport, it don’t get any easier than this, you just jump in the metro at the airport, and 10 min. after you are at Christianshavns metro stop. Then you are practically there. The Apartment is located just beside the Metro Station and 10 minutes from the city center square by foot.

Me: I Study Digital design at the IT University of Copenhagen, I Love to travel my self - and get an authentic experience of the places I visit. I am very much in love with Copenhagen, and I will be proud to help make the setting for a great stay for you. I will most likely be living with my boyfriend during your stay, so I will be in town if you need help with anything or just want to have a tour with a local. I hope to see you for your next visit in Copenhagen.

Kind regards

Christianshavn Sites inspiration:
News week just announced the perfect 100 places to see in the world 10 of them is in Copenhagen, 3 of them are on Christianshavn

Lagkagehuset (The Cake House):
Danes take bread seriously. On Saturday mornings, expect lines but also delectable rewards at this popular bakery. Situated by a canal in historic Christianshavn, Lagkagehuset sells several versions of rugbrød, the dark and savory rye bread that Danes so love. Top tip: don’t ask for “a Danish”—in Denmark, pastries are known as Viennese bread.
Torvegade 45; (URL HIDDEN)

Christiania:
Not far from Lagkagehuset one can find more alternative pleasures. At this 41-year-old commune, a few kilometers from Parliament, the pot dealing is prolific; the hippie spirit remains pungently alive, and supporters of the utopian ideal can show their love by buying recently issued shares in the Christiania commune. The place includes restaurants, music venues, galleries and a famous bike shop.
Bådsmandsstræde 43; (URL HIDDEN)

Eiffel Bar:
This gem of a bar is one of the city’s few remaining brune værtshuse, or “brown bars,” where patrons can still light up. (Hence the name—the walls have that lovely nicotine-residue hue.) They offer expansive open hours and a cheap buzz—indeed, as the motto goes: “Everyone can afford to enjoy themselves at Eiffel Bar.”
Wildersgade 58; eiff (URL HIDDEN)

I recommend you also visit DAC (Danish architecture center), Noma, the world's best restaurant, and take a tour-boat that are passing the house with an only ten minutes interval in summertime. It is a great way to get a full overview of the city´s geography. If you feel like swimming Bryggen (7minutes away) is the place the whole city gathers to sun bath and swim in the summertime. Yes, you can actually swim within the city.
All the places just mentioned is within 5-10 minutes walk from the apartment

Marie-Louise is an excellent host and her home is a fantastic Airbnb. Marie-Louise was an excellent communicator and everything was planned well. Her home is a gorgeous, impeccably-furnished place. The lofted atrium space is truly a unique space and was quite the experience. We slept up there even though it was early October and between 40-50 F (5-11 C) at night. The location is perfect. 2 minute subway across the canal, 10-15 mins walking to Papiroen, 15-20 mins walking to Nyhavn, 20 mins subway from the airport.

I stayed at Marie-Louise's place for five nights in June. The location of the apartment was so central and easy to get to from the airport. Just hop on the metro from the airport and the apartment is just 1.5 blocks away! In addition, the Lagkagehuset bakery is just two blocks away. The neighborhood is safe and I often walked back alone past midnight over the Torvegade and Langebro bridges with no issues. What drew me to the apartment was the open loft area where the bed is pictured as well as the bright nature of the space. One thing to consider is that Marie-Louise's apartment has no window coverings so if you're coming during the summer keep in mind that the daylight is long (sunsets around 11pm and sunrise around 4am). Unfortunately, there was construction around the building so the bed was moved to the living area. So you may want to check with Marie-Louise that construction is finished before booking. Overall I had a great stay at Marie-Louise's apartment!

My boyfriend and I stayed four nights at Marie-Louise's apartment. The location was so easy to get to from the airport. The metro is only a block and a half away from the apartment. Christiania is right up the street and amazing, amazing bakeries are within a two block range too. Unfortunately for our visit the bed was not up in the loft area to sleep under the stars but in the living room area. There was a lot of construction going on on the building anyway so the view would have been of scaffold. I would message Marie-Louise to make sure they are done with construction if the sleeping arrangement interests you. Communication with Marie-Louise was always fast. She also gave is really useful suggestions for our visit. We had a great stay in Copenhagen.

Absolutely fantastic stay! I have lived and visited all over Copenhagen, and this is is one of the best locations by far: close to downtown and public transit, as well as plenty of grocery stores, bakeries, and coffee shops nearby. The apartment itself is 100% Danish modern "hyggelig" (cozy)--perfect for two or three guests. Marie-Louise was very easy to work with and we had no problem with access or the keys. Would certainly stay here again!

I'm so happy I found this place! It's a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Staying there made my first visit to this incredible city even better. Not to mention that bed, waking up there was heavenly. I highly recommend it. Getting there from the airport is incredibly easy, and is right next to the metro station. Unforgettable experience for sure.

We loved this place. A bright, modern space with excellent airflow and super responsive hosts. There are, I think, 10 flights of stairs, but there is also delicious fresh bread everywhere. It's good to have stairs...

Such a wonderful experience! Great location and unique bedding arrangement make this place one of a kind. Marie-Louise helped us with some excellent suggestions for food and drink and was very pleasant to work with. Copenhagen is a wonderful city and this apartment puts you square in a cool part of it far from the cruise ship hordes.
