Welcome to the Blue Ribbon Lodge, where “eventually all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.” Our 11+ acre lot is largely river front, giving you amazing views of the Bitterroot River and easy access for fishing or launching your float boat onto one of the top 10 blue ribbon trout fishing rivers in the US. We are uniquely positioned to have views out of over-sized windows of the river without a neighbor in sight. Take a break from fishing and use our brand new pickleball court.

The space
Living
The living area features oversized windows with constant views of the river and the wildlife. There is an entrance to our deck from the living room, where you can sit or eat outside. Our dining area can fit 8 people comfortably. The huge gourmet kitchen opens to the living room and the views. It is fully stocked with everything a gourmet chef needs if you are eating in, including most small appliances. In addition, we have another living space downstairs with a large sitting area and TV so you and your guests have plenty of room for spreading out
Sleeping
The master bedroom includes a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. In addition to river views, you have views of the Bitterroot mountain range from the bed. The second bedroom includes 2 full size beds, entrance to the 2nd bathroom and a door to access the upper deck. Downstairs includes 2 more bedrooms. One bedroom has a King size bed and a door to our lower deck. The other bedroom downstairs includes 2 twin size beds. There is a large bathroom downstairs for these bedrooms.
Outdoors
We hope you will explore our property. We have 11 acres, largely river-front. We also have a brand new pickleball court for your private use. We have multiple levels of decks that include outdoor dining tables, chaise lounges and an outdoor couch so you can sit and enjoy the river and the wildlife show from several different locations.
On the river we have a beach area where we keep chairs for you and your family to relax and enjoy everything that the river has to offer. We have corn hole and other yard games to enjoy down by the beach, as well as a firepit.
Area
We are halfway between the towns of Hamilton and Darby (10-15 minutes each way) where you will find groceries and restaurants. Hamilton is larger and will have more options, but if you are going to see the Dutton Ranch, then make sure to stop in Darby, which still has that small western town feel. There is amazing hiking throughout the Bitterroot range, including the Trapper Peak hike. 5 miles away is Lake Como (not the same as the one in Italy) and 20 miles away is Lost Trails Ski Resort. There are also great mountain biking trails close by as well.

Other things to note
Don’t fish? Then enjoy the show that nature puts on right in front of our home. You will see elk, deer and an occasional moose wandering through the river. The bird watching is incredible, with a bald eagle regularly fishing the river in the mornings. All of this can be enjoyed from our beautiful deck or private river-front beach. But be aware of the wildlife that come on our property from time to time. If you see moose, bears or mountain lions, give them plenty of space. You are in the country! A few miles up the road is the “Dutton Ranch” where the filming of Yellowstone takes place.
